Flipnote Studio was the first animating program I've ever used, and it's helped me to improve so much over the past several years. Here's a direct comparison of my most recent flipnote animation to its previous versions!
(This is mostly to see the progress I've made, but I had a lot of fun aligning the videos and editing them together lol). Enjoy!

I really like both 2018 and 2020, I feel like in terms of the scenes they are different from each other to the point they come off as different animations almost. 2020 is a lot more fluid, shading is improved, and the depth of the knife swings is amazing! As for 2018, I love how the movement is synced up with the music, and expressions that Chara/Frisk make are so dynamic and great. I think I always lean towards a slightly more "realistic style" in my art preferences, but the more cartoonish style definitely allows for the animation in the 2020 version to be cleaner. I guess what I'm trying to say is I like both, and appreciate the progress you made between them! Ignore the ramblings of an animation student I could go on for hours lol

I love this so much, you've improved so much!! You can see the improvement with each one. I love the ending of the most recent one where they grab the knife and use it, that is just so *chefs kiss*. And it's gotten so much more fluid with each attempt and it's insane how invested I get when the clip is only like 20 seconds. Anyway, great job!!

It's really cool to see how fluid the animation got in 2020! Great job, for all 3 animations! 👌
