South Carolina's Important Role in African-American History

Published 2017-02-20
February is African-American history month. Some may ask “Why celebrate African-American history, isn’t that American history?” Absolutely, but unfortunately for hundreds of years, much of the history related to those of African descent was either totally ignored or misrepresented. South Carolina plays a major role in this more inclusive look at American history; because for many people of African descent in the United States today, Sullivan’s Island S.C. is where their “American” history began.

The scholars do not teach us anything except for slavery. Who were we before enslavement. I will tell you we are the lost tribes of the children of Israel yes we are the people that the bible speaks about! Read Deuteronomy 28:68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you. (Egypt meaning bondage) Wake up Israel!

  • Most that AMERICA'S HISTORY do not know how IMPORTANT the STATE of SOUTH CAROLINA is in AMERICAN HISTORY. The EMANCIPATION ACT which ENDED SLAVERY in the UNITED STATES of AMERICA was enacted UNDER PRESIDENT LICONH in 1860 , formally known as the GETTYSBURG' ADDRESS in that CITY . This is the LEGASTATION which PROMISED ALL FREED BLACK MEN 40 ARCES of LAND and a MULE to START a NEW LIFE with in the SOUTH .What most MISUNDERSTAND is MILITARY GOVERNOR GRANT upon taking OFFICE in JANUARY 20 1865 after being ELECTED PRESIDENT he and BLACK APPOINTED REPUBLICAN SENATOR NAMED SAMUEL MORIAL WHOM from VIRGINIA REWROTE and PASSED NEW LEGASTATION called the WAR REPEATIONS ACT to take the place of the EMANCIPATION ACT . It says in the LEGESLATION there 12 SCHOOLS CREATED for the EMANCIPATED BLACK'S instead of the 40 ARCES of LAND and MULE . The 12 HISTORICAL BLACK UNIVERSITIES and COLLEGES are there RESULT . The TWO in VIRGINIA are HAMPTON UNIVERSITY and VIRGINIA UNION UNIVERSITY .ALL of them still are in EXSITANCE doing what ENVISIONED them to EDUCATING and LEARNING BLACK AMERICANS, bug now as well as ALL COLORS of AMERICANS .Most THINK it was a GREAT TRADE OFF POLITICALLY for they continue too turn so of the BEST and BRIGHTS of this NATION.
