DIY Custom Reclaimed Barn Wood Sign with LED Lights

Published 2022-03-22
Authentic barn wood with a new lease on life as a LED-backed sign. I like the rustic nature of the wood against the bold colors of the LEDs. This is a DIY tutorial where you learn step-by-step my thinking and approach.

Remember that you don't NEED barn wood to make something like this. Use what you have, or find something new and make it look rustic. Either way, the process can be similar and the results will be a striking feature in your room!

Love the hand made aspect of everything but would also love to see what you can do with a CNC router. They are much more affordable these days for the average DIYer

Outstanding, that sign really looks amazing, I'm wanting to do something similar but mine will hang under a deck roof , over a set of stairs on my deck, just need to figure out how to protect it from elements

What kind of less did you use? They look of better quality than the ones I've used so far
