Are you a new driver who's about to drive on the motorway for the first time? If so, this video is for you! In this video, Raajan drives on the motorway for the first time with Pin, who gives him advice on how to drive safely and confidently on the motorway.

In this video, Pin covers the following topics:

How to join the motorway?
Which lane should you drive in on a motorway?
Why you shouldn't leave your car in a lower gear
What is a safe following distance on a motorway?
What is the hard shoulder?
When to signal when you are going to overtake
Don't feel pressured to drop into a lower lane quickly when a vehicle comes up very close behind you
What is a smart motorway
Making other drivers aware when changing lanes
Changing lanes on a motorway
Leaving the motorway

If you're a new driver, or if you just want a refresher on motorway driving, be sure to watch this video!

I was lucky to have a great instructor. Took me to every possible scenario - rain, snow, night, highway, filling gas etc.

Along side a great driving instructor your videos helped me pass my test, 5 years ago now. I have dyspraxia so driving didn’t initially come naturally, and watching these videos helped drill the ‘theory’ into my brain so I didn’t have to face situations as new when driving as I struggled to react quickly enough. I like to watch these to refresh. Thanks for everything DGN 😊
  • I was incredibly nervous about driving on the motorway for the first time, so I used the M6 Toll as it's so much quieter than the main M6. Now I'm driving all over the country and find it quite enjoyable!
  • I’m so happy to see how far Raajan has come with his driving. Loved this series and hope to see more videos like this soon. Hopefully long distance perhaps
  • @Steve8K
Fantastic to see Raajan back on the channel! Great video Pin, which will help many who haven't tackled motorways yet. It's one thing reading about it and it's a completely different thing experiencing them 😅

Passed my driving test on Monday, and what I will say is a big thank you. Your videos are very helpful and simple to understand. Keep up the good work🎉🎉
  • @tkloveshair
this was very helpful! Thank you for all the tips. I just passed my driving test and I am looking forward to gaining experience on the road
  • @YS.Sainte
Thanks so much DGN, I watched your videos all night and Alhamdulillah I passed my test today, first try and with zero minors
  • I went on the motorway this weekend, to say i'm the nervous type when it comes to motorways it was actually very relaxing. Even when it got a little busy, i just went with the flow.
  • @ToeJam161
I reckon Raajan sticks to the outside lane doing 90mph when Pin is not with him 🤣
  • @oana6431
Wow, can't wait to watch this video❤🎉 x

"Why do you drive in the middle lane?", "I just prefer it" - Oh dear, I wonder if he realises how many people he infuriated with that comment 🤣

I didn’t ever take any motorway lessons but it’s an ideal if there’s a nearby motorway! I’ve been driving on the M54 which leads from Telford to the M6 south Wolverhampton! Then I driven on the M5, M42 and M40 and I was so nervous at first but watching motorway videos really helps and my dad did a driving commentary and it really helps!😊 I really love motorway driving but it’s quite daunting at first or twice! Once you feel comfortable and confident, you’ll feel relaxed but not too relaxed!😂 well done Raajaan! Great driving!

I passed 4 months ago but not yet ready for motorway lessons confidence wise but when I am I’ll be going with my driving instructor.
  • @StellaWembley
Just subscribed. I find the videos very helpful. Especially because al the instructors are always busy and it is so hard to book a lesson. I have been driving in Italy but never in the UK. I wish it was easier to find an instructor AVAILABLE lol.

Good content pin, love this sort of videos ❤
  • @stephen23d
Great video. First two times I hit the motorway after I passed my test, I was out of my depth. Third time, I did my homework beforehand then took my family with me on a road trip at 5 am (dark outside) - since then, all fear has gone and I thoroughly enjoy motorways and know how to use them!

I just finished a lesson where i went on the motorway for second time... Got scared at times due to large vehicles, but my instructor is amazing, and im getting ready for my test in 7 weeks.
