Am 70 and have kept a personal & garden journal for years. In 2017 we moved into the mountains (zone 3) my garden journal helps on some things now - but my newer one is priceless! Whole new ball game on the mountain :) But, a journal is a wonderful tool for the garden. I also keep track of the weather each day too. Good video kiddo-thanks

I'm damn near 40 years old and I am still putting my plants out too early. I can't resist the itch after being cooped up all winter.
  • I love how passionate you are about your precious space and stewarding the land. 💚 beautiful

gardening teaches humility, just when you "think" you figured it out, along comes a new set of challenges, either diseases or pests or human error, gardening keeps you humble

Hi James , for the first time, I have placed down wood chips in my garden as an experiment. I was inspired to do so by viewing your channel. Thank you. I am Spamming the hearts down below for Tuck.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.
  • ❤TUCK! Yes, patience! I saw so many people buying the wrong soil, complaining about weather not being sunny enough to plant out seedlings, and basically not knowing how to choose proper plants in the garden center today. I wish I could help them all, but the few I do makes me hopeful for their summer gardens.

Hi Tuck! Welcome back to garden season 2024! So good to see you again! ❤❤
  • @l.b.harris567
In my late 70's and not really able to garden much anymore. But I tune in to enjoy your sunny personality and, of course, Tuck. Keep up the good work encouraging and entertaining the rest of us.
  • You are so right about timing, garden in the Southern hemisphere, we have had 3 years of mild winter's, a frost last weekend reminded that we do get severe frosts. When its a mild winter you can plant the cold harder stuff in August, but a more frosty winter wait until September for our area.
  • ❤❤❤tuck was born to be in the garden! LOVE seeing this little guy! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
  • I am watching your videos everytime you upload something and been watching you since I came here in Wisconsin from Philippines I really love watching it cuz I don't have any idea gardening in this country I don't even know what are Zones are. ❤❤❤❤❤ For the master gardener, Tuck. My poor garden, everything is gowing like weeds. My tomato plants are already waist high, flowering, and setting fruit. The cucumbers, squash, cantaloupe, and peppers are flowering and fruiting too. I just harvested mustard about ten days ago, and now it is ready for a second harvest, and my Swiss chard is ready too. Everything is about a month ahead of schedule. Alabama, 7B. My transplents went into the ground between April 6th, and April 9th.
  • @jamesshirey9493
Perfect timing, James. Transplanting peas and beans today, strawberries tomorrow.
  • You are amazing. I learned alot from every video. You can be a teacher. Amazing we plant and God gives the growth. I know we sweat but it is all worthwhile. Thank you. Thank God.
