Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves Out of the Theater Reaction! (2023 Movie)

Great review. Baldur's Gate is basically single player D&D.

Just saw the film today for the Prime early release. It was a great film. The characters, the story etc. I felt the movie was not too long, I felt it was just right. The pacing was fantastic, along with the little details, dropped like cookie crumbs but not slowing down the pacing. Heart was a prominent theme and it felt as is you wanted to root for the protagonist(s) the entire time. As a resident fan of D&D, the Johns got it right! There was plenty of little details that were spot on to the game, but never once overshadowed the story and pacing of the film. I was smitten for 2 hours and twenty minutes. A huge home run for me. Seeing it again in theaters on April 6th!

Really glad you enjoyed it. I loved Game Night and liked the trailers but have never played D&D so I’m glad you don’t have to be a fan to enjoy it.

If you grew up playing Baldur's Gate, you may be interested to know that the world of this movie is actually the world from that game (if you didn't already know). Baldur's Gate was a Forgotten Realms game using 2nd Edition D&D rules, so in a sort of odd way, technically you've played a sort of computer-assisted version of an older edition of Dungeons & Dragons, just with a scripted storyline and more limited decisions. :P

I had a ball with this movie especially that cameo from the 80s..No spoilers but when it happens the entire audience on my theater blew up..I was shocked so many recognized it. This was a movie made by people that love the game.😊BTW I also saw Shazam today..Funny cause I really enjoyed it to..But the showing of DND was almost full but when I went to see Shazam there was like 16 people around. I don't get it because the movie is good.

There's so many films i can't wait to watch and this is just one of them. Normanly there's only been 1 or 2 films over the last few years as there's haven't been anything out there that suits my taste in films that i want to watch. But so far there all coming out all at once so this year of films are just going to be fantastic for me as i have been so bored as i don't have a tv no blu ray player anymore. But lots of films i have but nothing to play them on. All i have is a pc watching dodgy sites for my films as my AMD cpu doesn't support playback in blu ray films so i have been told only dvd and i built a brand new 4k pc setup not knowing that i can't even watch my films even though i still have a power dvd 19 blu ray software player and a blu ray cd player for pc.

Do you use Canva for these thumbnails because they've looked pretty great? Looking forward to seeing how this goes.

I was gonna watch it. Solely for Chris Pine. Did you ever see the 00s one with Jeremy Irons and the guy from Susie Q. It actually bombed so bad at the Box Office.
