How To do a Simple Modern Roaring 20s Makeup Look

This vintage makeup look is perfect for that Great Gatsby dress you plan to wear to a roaring 20s party or wedding. Timeless and beautiful. The makeup look of the roaring 20s is still iconic a century later.

0:32 Foundation: A 1920s face is porcelain, smooth and very even-toned. Apply a dense layer of foundation and concealer in pale shades.

1:21 Brows: Women in the 1920s had arched eyebrows. Use a dark brown pencil to draw a thin arched line tending downward at the outer corner of the eye.

2:11 Eyeliner: Use the same dark brown pencil to draw a line on your top and bottom lash lines. Blend the eyeliner with a brush or finger for a soft smoky look.

2:53 Eyeshadow: Green shimmer eyeshadows all over the eyelid and gray-brown shadows in the crease of the eyelid blended almost to the eyebrows.

4:10 Mascara: Apply two layers of black mascara on top and bottom lashes.

4:35: Blush Makeup: 2 or 3 layers of creamy rose-red blush on the center of cheeks.

It's funny how often people comment on videos like this, how "time-consuming" it all was back in those days. Yet, here we are in modern times, spending hours and hours with phones, apps, mindless scrolling etc. I rather spend a few minutes more on looking put-together, than hours on my phone, looking at nonsense.
