Love the quote "mental health is a commitment to reality at any cost"
  • Please may I suggest that music not be played so loud when someone is talking it is very hard to listen, I found it a little distracting thank you
  • When you've tried every solution and they don't want to repent, make changes it's time to move on...severe dysfunction is not what God wants for us.
  • Not sure how I stumbled into this… this Godly woman is sharing my story. Only difference is I was married to my ex-husband for 16 years and he not only cheated but also was physically and emotionally abusive . I was broken, I prayed, I forgave….I thank God for giving me a second chance that after my divorce, 2 years later I met my wonderful husband. And we are happily married for 5 years and counting… Thank God for rescuing me from a dysfunction. I know my children at their young ages experienced the dysfunction but it made them resilient and who they are today. The backlash from church members are real, but as long as God is by your side, that’s ALL that matters. Trust in God and He will turn your trials to triumphs and give God the glory always!!! God bless you sister for sharing your story. I can relate!🙏🏽

I was rescued from 3 horrible relationships through out the years, this was before I was saved .Today I have a man of God that loves the lord loves me I thank God for never abandoning me I love him and will serve him the rest of my days

I can identify with this video on all levels. After 40 years of marriage, my husband divorced me. I made myself face all the emotions that come with this experience, it is a process, and the emotional pain is like nothing I have ever experienced in my life. I also suffered a stroke from all the stress. Thank you for sharing your story.
  • I was also muslim. My family also did not want to accept me but now they have accepted me following Jesus. You are a child of a living God, he will never leave you nor forsake you

Good Boundaries And Goodbyes has opened my eyes to what I knew I needed to deal with, not just get over quickly. This book, at times I could only read a little at a time..because it was telling my story and I knew what to do that was healthy, but I thought if I prayed enough my husband would change and do his part. I wanted to be that godly wife and give him time. Well, I have given 34 years, and it has not changed... I trust God as I apply the boundaries in all. This is a great book.❤

I needed this 15 years ago. What great advice. No one is worth your mental health.

We’ll said, Sheila, Lysa has stewarded her suffering well. She has walked this out with grace and truth and has helped women all over to find the strength to do the same. ❤

My daughters and I are doing a study on her book and it has been an amazing journey of healing, growth, and transformation in our friendships and relationships. It took us to our childhoods and who are today as adults. God is soo Good that he doesn’t leave us where we are at in a broken state. He is the great Jehova Rapha, our healer!

I love the boundary analogy that Lysa gave at the end of how CPR cannot sustain life indefinitely. Great point!

Godly wise conversation. Reconciliation comes after repentance.
  • I remember a lady in my church who,s husband had an affair and so many wanted her to take him back, again no repentence and I thought which one of you people praying would like to be married to a liar, I wouldn,t, we do not has christians have to stay with a adulterer or abusive person, we have such a warped view on things and are so shallow. I commend you Lisa especially for your honesty, I have often thought to pour my heart out in church would be less painful if I chewed my leg off, thank you Lord Jesus for being our perfect saviour xxx

Thank you for sharing. I just came upon this, but not by accident. GOD is Good and ALWAYS knows what we need.

I love listening to Lysa and this video is no exception. But I would like to request the background music be both quieter and less repetitive. I found it difficult to concentrate and learn with those weird tones repeating over and over at nearly the same volume as the voices. Just a suggestion :)

You just told my story though there was so much gaslighting for such a long time it took a long time before I recovered. Also I now am painfully aware of the judgement in the church
