North side of the train sees the lakes. Earned my sub by calling it the Tappen Zee bridge :D Not its stupid new name. I hear rumors that classic dining is coming back. I hope so. Have a trip coming in January.

Well done Ben....that was quite the train ride! I didn't know the Amtrak stations were so big, great interior vid shots. Neat to see West Point Academy and the bridges over the Hudson river are huge. I've never heard of the Rip Van Winkle bridge. Nice film in your series of Amtrak travelogue destinations.

I made the same mistake two weeks ago and ended up in Penn Station too.

The "flexible dining" thing is really a shame. Congress is wrongheadedly obsessed with making Amtrak profitable (oil lobby, I guess?) and that's the kind of thing you get. :( I'm sure it tips the scales toward flying for a lot of people. Fortunately many Amtrak routes are returning to serving real food again now.

Interesting vid. But the music between your voice-overs is MUCH too loud and annoying.

Why do people doing Lake Shore Limited videos often mispronounce Albany? It is pronounced All-bany.
