Elvis Presley was born a star and is still called the King of Rock’n’ Roll. He made an enormous impact on people’s lives with his music, his shows and his loveable personality, but he had a darker side that very few people knew about. He was a complicated man with a big temper, and despite being surrounded by friends, family and his fans, he was lonely and became depressed. His quest for spirituality shows us that he was searching for answers and the meaning of life, and his spiralling drug problem played a big part into his ‘descent into hell’. His best years in Vegas are haunted by the dark times throughout the final years of his life. He became broken, and while he found fame, he lost himself. His death was sudden and tragic, but the signs were there all along that the King had become ill, and wasn’t up for the show anymore.

Gladys explained Elvis perfectly...he got all of his deceased brother's energy... maybe even carried around his brother's soul with him.

Elvis had a hunger to learn, evolve and grow. He never wanted to stand still and be a dinasaur. With all due respect because I love Billy and Joe, and all the boys around Elvis, but I feel a lot of the people around Elvis never understood that and ridiculed Larry because they did not understand that need in Elvis until much later on. Larry is right, Elvis was a very intelligent man and "beyond a superstar".
  • I’ve never thought of him as anything but intelligent. He comes off as articulate

Elvis was chosen because God knew that with his gift he would do many great things. He was generous with all . Whenever he could help he would and he had the presence to make people sit up and listen

People can't stand for someone to be so loved !!! Leave him alone and let him rest in peace!!! He's been gone for over 40 years and people are trying to bring him down!!! None of the people that really new him aren't around now and I noticed after the mafia died more and more BS came out and thy know there's noone to call them a liar!!!
  • You know if Elvis would have never became famous everybody that ever saw him would say this guy should be famous without a doubt, this tells you that Elvis Presley was actually born to become what he became, and that's the greatest entertainer and personality to ever live or ever will live because I can't even imagine a repeat of what Elvis Presley did by making his mark on this world, period, R.I.P. Elvis, I don't believe you can be forgotten.

The final thing about a legacy left from years after the passing of the person is that it's down to the listener/viewer to experience it for themselves. He was the biggest shooting star in modern times and he did his best to fulfill his career despite the restrictions he encountered. I, for one, enjoy the legacy he created for anyone to sample. All the opinion material out there are just sound bites and don't dilute the legacy of the man. Keep listening and keep enjoying the legacy.......

Elvis has always been and will forever be my favorite. I wish I could have spoke with him about our savior. Beautiful conversation.
  • Elvis was a performer. If he wanted his fans to know about him personally, all he had to do was tell us through either a book or a documentary.
  • @mathstar4176
Yeah one of the best looking men ever !! ❤❤❤

ELVIS AWSOME ALWAYS WILL BE FOREVER LOVED BY ALL ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
  • 1. He was betrayed by everyone around him (including his wife). Only the public and his fans really loved him. He took his life from them. The rest around him "killed". He was also "protected" by his mother as long as he lived. 2. As a man I know this. HE HAD THAT SADNESS THAT WAS READ IN HIS EYES. When he was on stage with his fans, he temporarily became a different person. The genius we know and love. 3. ELVIS SAW AN ESCAPE FROM WHAT HE WAS LIVING. RESPECTIVELY: DEATH. AND FOLLOWED THIS PATH CONSCIOUSLY.

Elvis did not have a gambling addiction, that was the Colonel, and Elvis did not use cocaine! I don’t hear any of Elvis’s entourage who were interviewed here saying he used cocaine. They only mention sleeping pills, amphetamines - clearly all prescription drugs. It’s the narrator of the documentary who has taken it upon himself to claim this, which is obviously untrue. Not sure why he stated this, but he’s misleading his audience and makes the documentary lose some credibility imo! 👎🏼

Folks you who knew Elvis know that he wasn’t a drug addict! You know that Elvis is one of the most humble and at times quick tempered but honest individuals God ever created! Elvis was a giver and not a taker! He is the guy every man wanted to be and the guy every woman wanted to be with! He was so talented and he was sincere! Elvis loved his mom and dad and he loved his family so much! He loved the Lord and he loved people! He has the biggest heart and he gave people the real deal! People who talk bad about Elvis are either jealous of him or have something personal against him but folks Elvis is the man! Think for a moment………there’s never been a singer who lived that has had so many people go around singing like him! He is the Real Deal! Elvis will live forever! 🎸

There isn't anyone alive in this world who knows everything about another human being. We can all speculate... of course people closest to him know certain things and at the same time have their own version of him and what happened. I just love him for his incredible voice and the love he radiates ❤
