True RTR in it's purest buggy form. Big fun in a small package. Here's my first impressions with this small scale buggy racer. She moves nice straight out of the box. She's a little bit squirrely with the 6000kv brushless set-up....Lol. Super fun small scale!!!

  • UPDATE 😱. The Hobbywing Quicrun setup is smoother, more powerful, and cheaper than the Spectrum 6000kv motor/esc combo in this video. Have a 2nd Typhon Grom in the family running the Hobbywing 2435 6500kv with 16BL30 ESC and it rips with an 18T mod 0.5 pinion. Used a 3D printed ESC mount from RCB off eBay to mount it. In a nutshell, thanks to everyone that recommended the Hobbywing setup!!! 🍻

That's a WHOLE LOTTA FUN that everybody can afford!!! Wicked in the bowls!!!! Great bash! thanks for posting!!!
  • I converted mine to brushless with the Hobbywing quicrun. I found at the skatepark it was so much more fun running the 1/14 scale Hoonicon street tires. Better grip but can still slide. Give them a try. It makes for a fun street basher. Also any 1/10 touring car street tires with the smaller hex work great too for the skate park. You are an epic RC car driver.

I will say out of all my Arrma RC cars their Grom lineup is the most durable lineup yet

So awesome. Glad you featured this little fella!

I got into drifting (RC and then in real life lol) so I’ve been away from bashing for awhile. A guy at the track mentioned the Grom today and I immediately went home and checked your channel. Awesome to see that you’re still killing it! I just ordered two Typhon Groms. One to build into a brushless basher, and one to see how it does on our drift tracks. We have plenty of 1/10 scale options for drift chassis, but the 1/18 options are fragile or expensive, or both lol! If I can make the Grom slide well with some retrofitted drift parts and a gyro then it might explode in popularity in the drift scene for the chassis alone. Can’t wait for the UPS truck!

That thing is killer another awesome run bro thanks Rich!!👊🤟

Great action! I can't believe how well the Grom performs. The information on the pinion shaft size was very helpful. Great driving skills my friend. 👍

Such a cool platform! I hope the aftermarket takes to ‘em. I can see lots of cool custom stuff being built by the talented dudes out here, grom Outcast would have been cooler than the granite but they nailed the Typhon! thanks for the share 🤘🏼🤘🏼🚀🔥

Reminds me a lot of the old Losi mini 8ight when they first came out! Super fun little cars, I haven’t got a Typhon grom yet but definitely will when work slows down and I get time to bash again 🤘🏻🤞🏻 epic video, feel like the skatepark is my favorite place for the small scale stuff!
  • @RevelationRC
I want one ❤ I put that hobbywing system in my granite grom and it's crazy. Quad backflips all day on 3s.
  • @ChrisNY86
I was hoping you would pick one of these mini typhon's up. The fact that it not only geld up in that insanity of a park but was able to hit the same lines you normally hit which is no easy bashing but did it in style qs always! Gotta get myself one and I like that blue body(good ol tribute to the OG Typhon that we all know and love ). Arrma really has diversified quite a bit over the last few years now I just wish they would make a 1/5 typhon!
