  • @LegendsSongs...
The 70s, 80s and mid-90s, times when there was no cell phone or internet to alienate people. Times when the songs were simple and objective, without malice and profanity and friends were real friends. Times of letters and parties on the balconies of friends' houses. Times when teachers and students learned were respected. Times of dances and discotheques. Times we spent weeks flirting with a girl before we got a yes. Today it takes minutes, or rather seconds. We were happy and we didn't know...?

Even the legendary hard rock band Kiss dipped their toe into the disco pool with "I Was Made For Loving You" in 1979.

"Ain't Gonna Bump No More..." would never fly today!
  • Rock a boat(Hues Corporation) 1974 brings me memories of when we used to live with my mom. Miss my mom alot, she was everything to me.
  • Oh such amazing memories of Friday or Saturday evenings depending on what shift I was working. Make up on, fancy clothes and high strappy shoes. Hair in a Farrah flick and off we would go to the dancing thinking we were the bees knees. I’d taken Latin American and jive dance classes since I was 5 so just thought I was brilliant on the dance floor. What brilliant carefree times, I didn’t have a care in the world till my beloved dad passed just before my 21st birthday and my world stopped. It was the best of times and the worst of times
  • 70s and 80s music had me clubbing Thursday night till Sunday n still got up n went to work miss those days.
  • Too many to narrow the best! Earth Wind and Fire, Gibson Brothers. Tom Brown, MJ, Frankie Smith, KC Chic, Barry White, Tavares… love it! This WAS my time and i loved it
