THANK YOU for making this video. I used to spin vinyl and have some experience with Traktor and Ableton, but I don't have access to a pair of late-model CDJs with Rekordbox to learn the workflow, and really don't want to try to pick it up cold after talking my way onto a stage.

The players were designed for Mp3 CDs for full control of the physical features without a laptop. That is why you cannot search manually in a laptop and the BPM was directly gained from the Mp3 disc. 12 years ago is a long time...

I have same setup. The three hotcues dont work on the cdjs and the cue functionality is a bit strange. I have a ddj sp1 connected for scrolling, looping, loading etc. Its good fun but id hold out for some cdj 850s or above

Hi, what settings do you have in rekordbox. I have the same gear as you only that I have CDJ-1000mk2. I can’t get it to work… :/ I’m using rekordbox 7. I’ve contacted Pioneer support and he told me to switch on the USB on the mixer (DJM800) dude the mixer is 15 years old 🤦🏼♂️ thanks for the video 👍🏻
