Far from a perfect game, but it's really really fun

I literally feel the exact same way. This game has me hooked

Honestly feel like people who grew up in the time of PS1 - PS3 don't really see an issue with this game I really don't have an issue with the graphics

The game is extremely fun and honestly, during dusk, dawn and different weathers, the game looks really good.

What i love about Rise of the ronin is rhat it for the most part gives me everything i could want in my Samurai power fantasy, even more so than ghost of Tsushima in some areas, I also love the fact tgat it can be played as an unofficial Rurouni kenshin game.

The game is fun, functional and looks good. Those same fans bashing it, are the same ones who say “vote with your wallet” and they are broke in taste and finance.

The hate on this game is so strange. The combat is fantastic and that's why people play team ninja games.

You can actually fight William from Nioh in a cave by the coast in Edo. It's hidden, and the boss name is "Blue Eyed Samurai". He is one of the toughest mini bosses in the game. Hint: There is a cat nearby. Check the beach under the cat.

The special sauce it what sets it apart. The combat is so addictive and the open world is always rewarding so it doesn't get old. The freedom to approach encounters in various ways is also a major benefit to Ronin.

I think the point that people miss with the GOT comparisons is that even though GOT was open world it was still a linear story based around a sole protagonist so the presentation reflects that. This game is COMPLETELY different in that regard. You create your own protagonist, the story has player choice and can be changed to go in multiple different directions, AND there is co-op. There literally has NEVER been a game that offers all that with a combat system this deep that simultaneously has the fidelity and presentation of a GOT. It would be awesome but console gaming tech just isn’t there yet. Bashing ROTR for not doing the impossible is asinine

Agree man. Feel like the bigger creators didn't give this game a shake before they made those impression videos. Im having a blast with the combat and how my story is playing out. Looking forward to ng plus

Rise of the Ronin is the spiritual successor to "Way of the Samurai" IMO... I love this game and it needs way more credit than it deserves.

One of the best games imo. Ive been paying attention to the critisms of the game and of course there's comparising this to Ghost of Tsushima. Graphics might not be up there but the landscapes, to the cities has a lot more character to it and variety then Ghost has. Ghost of Tsushima might have better graphics, but how many times can I keep seeing the same two story building with the same "secret" vents that is laid out on an island full of forests? Not to mention how often i see the same Mongolian huts in their camps. Nah, Rise of the Ronin has Ghost beat in my opinion. Storywise, it may not be the best, but i think its somewhat historically accurate. Ill take the story over Ghost, in Ghost of Tsushima how much does the samurai have to talk about their moral code of honor, the whole game thats all they talk about lol. Its a nice fresh new take on the samurai genre in video games and team ninja nailed it. In Ghost of Tsushima, why is 1/3 of the island only in winter?

Don't trust those rigged and crooked reviewers. This game is 100x more fun, fluid, and flashy than all those liars lied about. An open-world action RPS with incredibly thrilling combats, exploration, and choices to build diverse narratives

Yet AGAIN... Dankin can't be edged to... the real goat of making me explode!
  • @VicVibez
This game is amazing. It hasnt struggled staying at 60 fps for me and the combat depth is 10/10.

This review is spot on. Games r supposed to be fun first and foremost, if graphics is all ur into then just watch movies

Actually an amazing game. Finished it on Twilight a few days ago and it was more fun than I assumed it'd be. I thought I'd get tired of some parts of it at some point, but I never did. It's just so fast-paced and smooth to play overall. I ended up enjoying the characters and some story moments an unexpected amount, as well.

It's all a matter of expectations, people were expecting "Nioh 3" when Team Ninja were clear about the scope of the game and how it's completely a different thing. I didn't pick up the game on launch since it was the same day as DD2 and i thought i'd pick it up when it's on sale. Meanwhile all i heard are complaints and people trashing the game. I did buy it yesterday since I had some free time and wanted to have a break from DD. I'm totally surprised: First of all the game doesn't look as bad as people claim it to be, in fact it's the best looking game TN made so far. The open world even though it is "classic" and you have to clear up markers is still fun because of the combat/traversal Stealth is also decent and fun to engage with. Gameplay is the bread and butter of TN games and they actually delivered. RPG elements are simplified (as expected since this is an Open World game more than an RPG) but there's still enough depth if you're interested in buildcrafting. Story, while it's better and more engaging than previous titles, i don't play TN games for the story. TL;DR: the game is fun, people love to hate on things and expected Nioh 3
  • Finally reached level 100 this morning! Took a whole week of non stop playing!
