Hi Courtney, love your channel, I have been following for a while. What your channel and similar channels (like the one by XO, Macenna) have been doing to me (in a positive way) is that they’ve been giving me courage to try things. I‘ve been slowly renovating our house over the course of the past 3 years. At the beginning, painting and wallpapering felt intimidating. By now we‘ve laid wood floor, cement tile, and built our very own custom kitchen. And the confidence in our skills grows with every task we‘ve accomplished. But I cannot stress enough that at the beginning it was youtube that took away the fear: Wonderful, strong women like yourself, who are taking on beautiful interior design and building projects. Keep on doing what you are doing, love your channel. Greetings from Germany Milena

I’m Rachel, 27, and work part time as a commercial interior designer. The rest of my time I spend taking care of our 17 month old and trying to decorate and renovate our Victorian farmhouse, which we’ve had for about 16 months. I’ve been watching your channel for probably 4 months

Yes! Marry your best friend! In August is my 12 year anniversary too. There is nothing like the support of a spouse who is truly your friend. And way to follow where God leads you. That can be hard but He does provide. Thanks for such a fun video! I truly love your bubbly personality ❤ And thanks for answeing my questions! I have three boys and struggle to let them pick out room stuff too hahah
  • Thrifting has always been a means to dress our family and decorate your home with a tight budget. It’s always an adventure and gives one such gratification to find amazing things.

I live in Niagara Falls and thrifting here is very challenging. So fun to see a fellow Canadian 🥰. I’m fairly new to your channel, I’m enjoying your style and content. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

Loved getting to know you better through this video! We are in NE GA with some vaulted ceilings in our house that are so hard to cool and I can't imagine trying to cool your amazing high ceilings. I hear ya about the heat! 😄 We lived in WI for 3 years, so we've experienced some similar things too with the dark winters and family being so far away. I really enjoy your videos and your style. There are lots of similarities to how my own style has changed for me too over the last several years. I too have realized an appreciation for things with a history.
  • I have been watching maybe a year, give or take, just not real sure. Youtube..it would be nice to know. Haha I love watching your channel. You are like a breath of fresh air. Love all the projects you do in your home and have to give a high five for doing them. Some of them was really hard and exhausting. You have a vision for your home and you are making it all happen. My husband and I live in Alabama and he is orginally from upstate NY. So I know what you mean about the beautiful flowers. We work hard to keep our flowers growing and looking pretty. I started out with yard sales. Now we have thrift stores close to us that I check out on a regular basis, if not I have withdrawals. Lol We moved into our retirement home almost 6 years ago. And I am having fun redoing some furniture and finding pictures I like to hang. This house is bigger than our previous home. We have a garage, bigger bedrooms and extra bath. So its all a process you go thru. But the heat will get to you when you wanna paint something, humidity will prolong the drying time. Loved the Q&A videos.
  • My husband and I just got married last October! We bought our first house that was built in the 90’s so everything is from that time….. I can’t stand it! (We have a little homestead) we are set back pretty far off the road! But I’ve been little by little making changes your style and xo, macenna are my favorites to get inspiration from!! I’ve been watching you since the chicken coop video and I love seeing you grow!! Maybe I’ll get enough confidence to start my own channel one of these days! My friend always tells me to start one I just get nervous filming myself lol!! Anyways enough ranting! Love all of your creations you’ve made so far ❤️❤️

I’ve been a long time follower I just don’t often comment. Way back to the apartment/makeup days. I feel like I’ve grown up with you as we built our families at the same time. I have always loved your videos but in the last year you have really inspired me to try more diy things that scare me. I’ve always been the one to do the painting in my relationship because my husband doesn’t have the patience for it. I also felt confident to do minor things even changing a light fixture but building and woodwork seemed scary to me. You’ve given me the confidence to do a few small projects and I have a list of more to try. I absolutely love your style and I am a little jealous of your thrift finds. I am in a smaller Northern British Columbia city and our options are limited.
  • You are soooo relatable to me! I can paint, build, hang light fixtures…all the things too!! I built a chicken coop too (although not as big as yours). 😂 I love LOVE seeing other women who can do those things too! It’s so fun and empowering. ❤❤❤
  • Thank you Courtney for sharing my question! So glad God led y’all to the States near your family! Your home is so beautiful! I love thrifting toooo!💛
  • @lindahicks26
Thank you for this video. Fun to hear about your life. I love to thrift - it’s like therapy to me, hard to explain. 🥹 God bless you and your family. Thank you from Texas. 😊

I absolutely LOVE your channel. I was a fan of the defunct Farmhouse Vernacular and couldn't find anything to take its place--untill now. Thanks so much!!
  • @jsbuck85
Love your energy, personality, and your channel Courtney!!
  • Thank you so much for sharing a part of your life...I absolutely love your style and your home!

It’s nice to get to know you better. I don’t remember when I started following you, but it’s been lots of fun. Love your channel and sense of humor. I’m a 67 yr old living in Northern, CA.
  • I’m late watching this video, so idk if you will see my comment or not. I’m in southern NC as well. Not sure where you are, but if you are near Charlotte, you should check out Gibson’s Mill. Not a thrift store, but still a beautiful place to wander thru. Also, The White Owl in Mt Pleasant, NC, and The Marketplace in Albemarle. If you are nearer the Pinehurst area, there is a place called Pastimes. It’s also a booth mall, but the prices are usually good. There are several other places near Pinehurst worth checking out too. Lots of cool places just across the line in SC as well. Our GW is huge! But awful as far as home goods is concerned. It does have an awesome coffee shop inside tho!

Super fun video! I love your energy and learning more about you and your family. I’m in the upstate of SC so I feel you on the heat. I have gardens - flowers and veg and water daily. What I enjoy about you and your channel - your energy and enthusiasm, you bring us along on your diy/thrifting adventures and it’s fun. Your videos always make me smile and bring joy - that’s a gift, so thank you😁😁 plus, I love old houses and all things distressed.
  • New to the channel!! Your content is so fun to watch and I love your personality and style! Just a small suggestion: I think using a mic for audio would really push your 9/10 content to a 10/10. Best wishes, Lindsey 😊
