Nut mixture : 1 cup crushed walnuts, 1 cup, pistachios, 1/4 cup, brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon. (Some crushed pecans if you’d like)
Filling: one cup sugar, two blocks of cream, cheese, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, two eggs, a dash of lemon juice, half a cup of sour cream.
Syrup: 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup honey, dash of lemon. Boil till clear.
Important notes. Make sure to bake on a pan so it doesn’t seep in the oven. Bake at 325° for about an hour and a half, depends on your oven. It’s OK if the cheesecake is jiggly once done, it will firm up in the fridge after you leave it for six hours.

In one of my neighboring towns there is a Greek Orthodox Church and they used do a bake sale and a dinner and cheesecake baklava was always my favorite to get!

Omg i love baklava And cheesecake. I never thought of this combo. Looks delicious ❤ I have my own cheesecake recipe where I make the cream cheese from scratch because cream cheese isn’t easily found here. Now I need to make a phylo dough recipe as well because it’s not found here.
