The fact this lady was able to chop down a 6 hour job to a 6 min video ... she definitely loves us ❤ thank you for all you do
  • @daniellebenson10
The ponytail did it for me. All things considered Francine was a super patient girl! ❤
  • Back in the early 1990s, I was at a weeklong obedience camp with a multi-group winning Komondor from Oklahoma--red dirt country. When his owner was campaigning him in the breed ring, she had to keep his cords rolled in papers to keep them from staining with the red dirt. That way, it cut her grooming time down to 48 hours per month. Before she figured out the rolling his cords in paper trick, she figured she was spending over 125 hours per month grooming him, in part because she refused to deprive him of living a normal active life. And people think Poodles in a show coat are high maintenance!

Poor doggo.. Enduring six hours of handling... You two, both the groomee and groomer are amazing!

It's funny watching these particular dogs as an African American..🤭. This is very close to grooming our locs. It just tickles me watching the process on a dog. His ponytail was too cute😂
  • I have locs, and this reminds me of maintenance I did early on in the “young” stages. But also what I’ve seen folks who semi-free form do. This was really interesting to see the similarities!

1:00 Love her little eyes peeking out from all that floof. 😂

as a Hungarian, it was so weird to see a puli this short :D I'm used to them having floor-sweeping fur. But then again, I don't think all those pulis I saw as a child in rural villages were this well taken care of!
  • @doryna_sira
Thank you for helping this dog find her eyeballs.
  • When I saw 6 hours in the title I expected a massive beast of a dog, but she's a cute little fluff ball! It must be so much work to properly maintain her cords. You, Francine, and her owner have a lot of patience. Good job.
  • @vwannop11
Wow! I always wondered how people maintained corded dogs, thinking of the Puli specifically. Beautiful job .
  • @nitehaus5182
I don't know how you (or the dog!) have the patience for something like this, but WOW what a result!

Francine is adorable and you did a fantastic groom , but I can’t imagine dealing with a floor mop 😂. Love your channel 🌟💕🐾
  • @TheWitchvortex
Francine reminds me of our Puli, Miska. We used to give him a similar summer haircut every May. He was a real diva and we had to blackmail him with small cubes of cheese otherwise he didn't wanted to cooperate :D You are doing a great job with these corded dogs!
  • @ElessariaD
It's wonderful to see a properly cared for coat, because after twenty years in the veterinary field we had a particular client with multiple pulis -- who should not have owned them -- and it was not the poor dogs' faults they were unfortunately a bit stinky and had tons of skin issues because of lack of care. No matter how much client education -- gentle and firm-- changed the pets' care or prevented more pulis being added to their pack. I adore how Vanessa doesn't shame owners, but sadly in the case of these miserable patients we had, it was inexcusable how these sweet dogs were treated.
  • @FriticFritic
Really fascinating to see the progress from puppy coat to adult coat. I’ve also never seen a Puli’s face and they are ADORABLE!!
  • @ItsJustLisa
I’d love to see her in about 8 months with her grownup cords looking all proper. Francine did a great job for her first grown up haircut.
  • @pinkglitterfleck
I have a Havanese and thought he was a mop but this dog is the real deal! That’s a lot of work.
