The thing I find quite staggering about a lot of these great goals compilations is just how often the goal from the European Championships Final in 1988 is overlooked. That volley by Marco Van Basten against the CIS (or USSR aka the Soviet Union) was absolutely outstanding and for myself probably the best goal of all time.
