As an Elks trustee it makes me very happy to see the history of the Elks being captured and posted on YouTube. The video itself gives me ideas and I am sure it will give other people who are decision-making members some good ideas as well and seeing this I really think there are more things that we can do for my fellow veterans; as far as being a nonprofit organization we should provide meals to selected veterans right in the lodge. I am sure other people will view this video and agree. Having pride in my country, my Marine Corps and my Elks Lodge BPOE 54 of Lima Ohio is easy to maintain. It makes me very proud to be able to further convey that pride in the sharing of this video.
  • The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE; also often known as the Elks Lodge or simply The Elks) is an American fraternal order founded in 1868 originally as a social club in New York City. Today headquartered at Elks National Veterans Memorial in Chicago, Illinois, it is one of the leading fraternal orders in the United States, claiming nearly one million members.

Vivian was not the founder of the Elks!He was never naturalised as a US citizen and he never took the 2nd Degree• Devout Elder. He hardly ever attend New York Elks Lodge #1 because he was on tour and acting in plays! I have historical jolly corks papers that says the same things! If one needs a copy just ask. I have the proof!

Wow.... I inherited two of those piggy banks, had no idea where they came from, but they appeared pretty racist to me... Then again my Great Grandmother was also pretty racist. She was also an Elk, explaining the banks. Are the Elks a Nazi association? Just trying to figure out how and why she felt the way she did?
