Roy McIlroy reacts after watching Bryson DeChambeau win the US Open

McIlroy lost a two-shot lead down the stretch then watched on a scoring room monitor as DeChambeau made an improbable winning up-and-down at the 18th hole to claim the trophy. After DeChambeau won, McIlroy went straight to the Pinehurst car park without talking to reporters and left. The loss extended McIlroy’s 10-year major title drought.

I know Rory is down on himself for missing those 2 putts, but those putts were the signature of Pinehurst. He wasn't the only one missing putts like those. It seems sometimes things play out for reasons will never know. Some call it luck, other call it destiny. What an exciting finish. Bryson is a joy to watch.

Greg Norman choked a 6 shot lead in the 96 Masters and took it completely on the chin and was a great sport about it

The fact that McIlroy bolted out of town and couldn’t wait a couple of minutes to congratulate Bryson and shake his hand is completely inexcusable. He needs to grow up.

Walking to the 18th green and shaking hands with the winner is proper manners.

Jack Nicklaus would have walked over, shook Bryson's hand, and congratulated him on the win. Yeah I know, Rory kind of came apart at the end, missed a few short putts, especially the one at #18. But, the thing is, it's a game, he's paid well for what he does, he gave it his all, and it wasn't enough. You get out there and shake the other guy's hand, and face the press with some class and dignity.

Great sportsman that he is, he went right out to congratulate Bryson for a well played contest... Just kidding, he stormed out in a huff and dodged reporters at top speed.

Used to like Rory, but after this I am not a fan. He needs to change his attitude and fast.

When Bryson was tied for the lead at the PGA championship and Shauffle won it on the last hole, Bryson shook his hand and congradulated him like a gentleman, at the US Open when Bryson sunk his winning putt, Rory runs to his car and speeds off like a spoiled brat.
