  • PLEASE NOTE; I'm sad I have to note this but due to some of the comments coming in I apparently do. CONTROVERSIAL COMMENTS PERTAINING TO RELIGION OR POLOTICS WILL BE PROMPTLY DELETED. Singing A New Song has never been and will never be a place where judgment of a faith other than yours is welcome. Please note that The Good and the Beautiful is put together by a team of people of multiple faiths, and does not "teach" or "push" any specific faith. Furthermore, it is enjoyed by both people of faith as well as secular families.
  • I just wanted to say, I just subscribed to your channel because you admitted that your son was still using one years curriculum into a new homeschool year. SO refreshing to see someone being honest about the real world of homeschooling! thank you!
  • @kaylacrane511
I loveeee the good and the beautiful! We're using it for LA and Math this year. We're adding in Science from them next year. ❤
  • @JaimeandBrandon
We are a new to homeschooling family using MFW + TGTB this year. So far I'm loving the one on one time using TGTB with each of my kids and then bringing us all together to learn with MFW. I'm so glad to have found you on here and can't wait to hear about how you make it all work together!
  • I love TGTB math for my kids. But I also love spiral math which I know isn’t for everyone. My girls have just excelled at math with this curriculum. And it is also free to download.
  • @kgn61
    I agree! TGATB is amazing!!!
  • @sjaap141
We love TGATB! Second year using them and we don’t want to change 😊
  • Shayla, you're like the O.G. homeschooling mom!! I was leaning toward this L.A. curriculum for most of my kids for next year, so thank you for helping me decide. 😊 I trust your curriculum choices because a.) You have experience. This is what I have been looking for for so long on YouTube and you have been most helpful! And b.) We have similar homeschool "flavors." That video you recommended in one of your previous videos helped me so much to put into words the style of our homeschool. And c.) You don't jump from curriculum to curriculum. I am wondering what you use for language arts for your high schoolers? I have one going into 10th next year, and we have yet to find something that truly works for him. I appreciate it!
  • @saramoulson7808
This is super helpful, thanks Shayla! Quick question, have you used TGATB for your highschoolers instead of MFW? I'm trying to decide what to use this coming schoolyear and wondered. I have a soon to be 9th and soon to be 11th grader.
  • @alindsay7365
Hi, it is my first time watching. I enjoyed this video. Did you link the 12 year plan you talked about somewhere? I couldn't find it, but may have missed it somewhere :)
  • @Shannon.Hazleton
So, I had just decided this week that I’m switching my youngers over to TGTB … I’m interested to know if you continued to print curriculum. I know there’s a lot of beautiful pictures (taking a lot of ink ) 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • @MW11-3
That’s so interesting as my boys hated TGATB spelling and all the art and found their readers so boring. I also didn’t like how they taught writing at all. We’ve switched to Abeka for LA and we all like it so much better!
