Ghosting has unfortunately become a common practice among many companies in recent years.

Reasons for the practice vary from the position already being filled to financial constraints or changes in organizational needs.

While it doesn't excuse the behavior, recognizing that it happens helps you acknowledge it and move forward because being ghosted can leave you feeling ignored and frustrated.

It's a clear indication of poor communication practices and may hint at a toxic company culture to boot.

Remember, your worth as a professional isn't defined by the actions of others.

Despite the disappointment, strive to maintain a positive outlook.

Carrying anger or resentment from one experience to the next can hinder your future job opportunities.

Importantly, take time for yourself to recharge and reset as well. Engage in activities that bring you joy and restore your well-being.

Whether it's spending time outdoors, pursuing a hobby, or something else entirely...make the time.

In the end, recognize that being ghosted may ultimately be a blessing in disguise. You deserve to work for a company that values communication and respects its applicants.
