Swindon Town got religated two divisions for a fraction of the financial ilegularities that Man C are being accused of.
  • @FuncleB
Matt Slater is such an informative guy, seen him on a few channels now giving a great insight into the internal affairs of clubs and league associations. Great video.
  • Didn’t they only escape UEFA on a technicality? UEFA filed too late so it got dismissed. So they “beat it” by dragging it out, which can’t happen with the English FA.
  • Oil money gives them leverage whether it’s in the oversight of their club or litigation. Sadly there will be no justice I reckon, but I hope I am wrong.
  • @ridaa6789
I like how Sam Lee as a man city correspondent can tell us with so much certainty the level of sincerity in the man city hierarchy statements (hint its always 100% sincere) "Thats not a distraction technique that's how they genuinely feel " oh come on Sam!
  • @Oscarspoem
Will be no surprise that nothing will happen to Man City.
  • Some of the charges alledge payment issues from 2009. That's ridiculous! Why has it taken so long for the PL, FA, Uefa & Fifa to take action?
  • @Zinedinezam
The reason premier League took action is only because they don't want an independent regulator snooping around at what dodgy stuff alot of prem clubs are doing now. So they needed to make an example of the biggest cheat to stop the regulators coming in.
  • @gooner72
They won't take trophies off them because it's too far gone now but points deductions, relegation, transfer ban and huge fines are the more likely outcomes.
  • One of my only criticisms of The Athletic is the journalists for specific clubs (or reporters or correspondents etc) are also fans of that said club. I'm an LFC Fan but listening to James Pearce putting an LFC Spin on things just rings wrong with me. Same with Sam Lee here, who (however hard he may try) is still spinning 'City'
  • guys, when theyre on the zoom call, invest in a decent mic for them all, and then get them to record it on there seperately, then they can send them off and you guys can sinc it up. Woud make listening so much more pleasant.
  • @jpgrimes100
Chapman picking his nose and biting his nails really elevated this clip to the level of infuriating.😡
  • @louloutri
We know what will happen, they will hire the most expensive lawyers and nothing will happen.... Same for PSG by the way. PSG's chairman even got a major position within UEFA....
  • @marineboy1964
Newcastle will be waiting in the wings And if man city get away with a fine Then that's the green light
  • @mullerz2776
I am not wanting to look like am defending city, but does this mean the status quo will always stay the same?how will a smaller club ever get and stay at the top if they can only invest what they earn?(talking from a championship team fan perspective)
  • @UFO1601
He who is without sin , let them cast the first stone. If City's books are to be so heavily scrutinized , then every clubs books need to be scrutinized in exactly the same way, think you'd see a few rats scurrying back into their so rightous holes then.
  • @jamin1051
A bit weird that you’ve not researched this well enough to know why and how City escaped CAS punishment previously
  • @LaShoju
The arrogance that they think they can do whatever they want is not the same as the confidence that they’ve done nothing wrong.
  • @PsychicLarry
Sam has to tow the line to keep his access to Man City.
  • @Robert.Sheard
They only got away with it from CAS based on a statute of limitations that doesn't exist in the PL charges. Why does everyone act like CAS exonerated City?
