You have a great channel, which I found when I was in the hospital in 2021 with my own stroke. I experienced suppination a few days a ago when I was trying to screw my license plate onto my new Bronco. I've made a great recovery, and I've posted about 30 stroke recovery videos. I hope to write a book on stroke recovery, which you helped me launch. I lost complete use of my left side at one point. Now I'm about go bowling. Thank you.

Thank you so much Dr Tara Tobias for this superb video and Recalling me again and again . Regarding crouch walking, slow but quality walking, sit to stand exercises in daily routine. Really really Thank you so much 😊😊😊
  • Thanks Tara, you can only make this elaboration of problems and solutions. This needs enormous knowledge, experience and of course effort and time. I carefully provided the key things. This is worth gold for us who have a problem. Thanks and a nice week.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I’m recovering from a severe stroke for 18 months now and have severe foot drop
  • My big toe has had 2 surgeries and doesn't move up enough. After 50 years I have been given an accommodative orthotic and a have a metal toe extension plate under the big toe. Always have pain in the outer ankle. Osteopaths have had me work on hip muscles, etc...and short toe foot exercise. The same leg has calf muscle loss after a laminectomy. Nothing can really solve the issue but any information you give is valuable...the gait info in your other videos, especially swinging the hip has helped!

Thank you so much for sharing, Ms. Tobias! This is absolutely awesome information that's definitely going to be helpful for me! I appreciate you so much and hope you have a wonderful week!
  • So timely for me. Exactly what I’m fighting. What about using aligning AFOs? I have both Dorsi and planter, about 20 degrees flexions
  • Hi Dr Tobias thank you for this information. I have a lot of spacity but I also use an ASO on my ankle because my foot rolls to the outside

This is exactly what I needed 💯 Thank You very much Tara... God Bless you and good weekend to you 🙏🏻

Hey. Have subc'd recently. Learning from you. From stroke still in w/chair & walker. Foot does spass when walking & knew hyperX. Practicing walking correctly. Feel tightness in hip & thigh feels bigger than unaffected side. Was feeling like affected side leg was longer. Thanks for the your insight.

Great video!!! If someome has a pronation of their foot what exercises can we do?? Thank you
  • @user-dj3tv8yr3c
Thank you Dr Tara. I am trying these stretches for my mom. How long should one do these before attempting to walk again correctly. I have been doing these before the walking routine since the past 2 weeks but dont see much improvement in the walk. Or should one do these stretches and stand until the leg and ankle is corrected and then start walking again?
