I’m sitting here waiting for the bass to kick in knowing these guys are going to shit their pants lol
  • @Pxtwny_chill
Chris Squire is one of the greatest Bassists of all time.. hands down
  • @RadCenter
Been listening to this song for almost half a century, and it never gets old!
  • @AnalogKid1712
Fun Fact, you'll Love: Sadly, the iconic bassist, Christopher Squire, passed away before YES was inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame. So, on the night of the induction, when YES took the stage to play, they needed a bass player to sit in on the performance. Those shoes were filled by none other than Geddy Lee, of Rush. It was a perfect fit, and beautiful thing to behold. Cheers guys :)

I am a 63 year old jazz trombonist and latin percussionist. You guys have much to teach me, about maintaining an open, honest mind aesthetically. I love how you embrace the unknown, and your readiness to shed biases as you discover them. You fill me with gratitude, and restore my confidence in humanity. The young will save us.
  • 'He's killin' it on that keyboard!' 'Who is that keyboard player?' That would be Mr Rick Wakeman gentlemen.....
  • @keithwoods1103
Song is almost 50 years old, and still slaps. Chris Squire was amazing.
  • @beamspickett
'I have nothing to say, I'm just rewinding that.' Perfect.

I’ve been listening to YES for 40 years. Watching and listening with these two dudes make it feel like I’m listening for the first time again. THANKS, FELLAS !!
  • “ That was next level shit! “ “A masterpiece!! “ I love it!! My favorite rock band ever! You two had me laughing so hard!!
  • @somedude5414
For two guys with little to no musical training, your analyses are always spot on and insightful. Outstanding job!
  • @denoftools
That face at 15:44 That's the "feel that funk" face right there! Whish we had more of that in today's music.
  • @pauldavies5030
Jon Anderson: Lead vocals Steve Howe: Guitars, vocals Chris Squire: Bass and backing vocals Bill Bruford: Drums, percussion Rick Wakeman: Keyboards, Hammond C3 Various over bubs by several band members. Excellence in persona. Big BTW... Geddy Lee from Rush modeled his sound from Chris Squire.
  • I love how y'all appreciate Prog Rock! You both are truly open-minded. Prog rock has a nerdy reputation, but you guys give these old proggers so much respect.
  • @borumir
One of the best and most recognizable baselines in music history

"I have nothing to say. Just going to rewind that."

Oh, my Lord, another intelligent reaction YouTube channel giving love to the music of my youth. I may never sleep again. Y'all keep me up so far past my bedtime it may be my undoing. Well, we all got to go sometime. Thank you. by the way, a bit of trivia. The crescendo note at the beginning is a piano chord recorded and played backward. Kind of cool to know when you listen to it.
