How I Am Learning Simplified Chinese Characters (0-A1) By Using Minimal Pairs/Chinese Useful Phrases

Published 2024-07-21
大家好!Hi everyone!

Memory training has never been more important than today as we tend to rely on electronic devices way too often. So, learning Chinese characters comes in handy as it is an effective way to train memory. Yet, there are so many characters that sound the same (homophones) and it appears there is no light at the end of the tunnel.. There is a solution though: We can group the characters in what I call trios/quarters or in what Roman Jakobson termed as minimal pairs.

So, I have been growing my collection of minimal pairs/trios/quartets:班 - 半,上- 下, 做 - 错, 做- 坐 - 作, which has proved to be helpful.
I am also sharing some useful phrases and collocations:上班 - 下班, 桌子上- 桌子下, 打搅 😬

周末再见!
