Huge fan of Leap Frog Letter Factory. A veteran homeschool mom of 10 told me about it and I was astounded at how well it worked. My oldest son knew all his phonic sounds at 18 months because of it and was reading at age 3.

So fun to see all thise books. My 8th child starts preschool in the fall im probably going to do the good and beautiful preschool book. We love reading so those are some great books suggestions. Thanks!

I love so many of the Sonlight T book selections, we have read many of them dozens of times, and the boys will pull out the Richard Scarry books just to pore over the illustrations. "Make Way for McCloskey" definitely has a handful of REALLY long stories that are at a higher level than all the rest of the books
  • We did Sonlight T recently too and LOVED the Richard Scarry book and the Harper Collins Treasury! So glad you enjoyed this year of connecting with your daughter. I feel like that is one of the most important aspects of preschool. Such a precious time! Excited to hear about your kindergarten plans soon...

I've wanted to do so light for years. My biggest question is did you use the teachers guide or did you just find that you read the books on your own? I've gone back and forth with it being so expensive

We use only the literature from Sonlight T for the first half of kinder and Sonlight PreK for the last half. We are half way through our year and are finishing T this week. I skipped the Noah’s Ark for the same reasons and only read a few stories from the McClosky book. We skipped the very long ones. Her favorites were Make Way for Ducklings and Blueberries for Sal.
  • We loved TGTB pre school and when my baby is ready she’ll do it!!! I love sonlight but not done it with younger kids!!! I love reading with my younger kids!!! Always have!!! I have memories of doing this with my teens when they where younger!!! I love hearing my kids getting things!!! Some books we skip and I don’t mind using later on!!! I don’t kno if missionary stories are good for the younger year!!! My kindergartener doesn’t listen in on them!!!

I love getting a peek inside of books 😍 so helpful for figuring out if my child is ready for them. Now I want to do sonlight with my 2YO when she’s 4 🙈

Such a great video! Thank you! I have added a few of these books to my list 😊 Just curious what the leapfrog letter factory is? I only seem to be able to find YouTube videos. Is it videos or something else? Thank you ❤
  • Thanks so much for this video. Just about to embark on a Preschool year next year with my 4yo so very appreciated. Can I ask where you accessed Leapfrog Letter Factory? My googling is leading me to dead ends! What form did you use it in?
  • @lynetter6850
Hi Christine! When sonlight tells you what to read in this book, does it just tell you the page number or the title of the story? I'm asking because I wondered if I could use this curriculum but substitute books I already own for the fairy tales books they use.

Hey there, I’m also in NZ and wondering how you access Leapfrog letter factory?
