  • Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for making this YouTube video about various techniques for improving prompts for ChatGPT. I took some notes, and it was super informative. Your insights were really helpful, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge. šŸ˜Š Thanks again, and keep up the great work!
  • @NaftuliSinger
What an amazing video again. Thank you Leila! I find ChatGPT very helpful for rewriting and spell checking drafts that I wrote, it kind of keeps to the same style but ticks all the other important boxes.
  • @riggsron
Thank you, Leila, with all the instant experience on YouTube it's great to have a voice you can trust!
  • @Deborah28277
I liked the addition of providing a valid URL for your answer. That with prompting to cite resources , will be vey helpful. Thank you
  • @CMDRunematti
There's nothing more motivating than a manager who uses ChatGPT to send personable emails about team building
  • Great video, Leila (as usual!). I thought initially that you would cover fine tuning. This could be more explored here on YouTube. I think you are the best person to do that. I do like your style/approach. Thanks
  • Iā€™m a teacher and I use it to write my lesson plans. My prompt was ā€œPlease create a 5 day lesson plan introducing Information Technology and Cybersecurity for 7th graders. Each day should include a different discussion topic and online activity. Include a 5 minute wrap up discussion question to end each lesson. Include (insert state) standards.ā€ In about five seconds, I had everything I needed. Itā€™s a powerful tool if used correctly.

This was extremely useful! Thanks for taking the time to put it together. By the way you reached a new market as I don't even use Excel šŸ˜€
  • @wholebodyhappy
Great information! "I" just wrote 3 articles in 5 minutes! I would've never known that I needed to personalize chatgpt without watching this! Thank you!

Thank you Leila, very useful way to improve the outcome of ChatGPT created content. As you said: garbage in, garbage out. Cheers
  • @MrKuhistani
wow, this is really helpful. I was struggling to communicate my expectations to ChatGPT, but did not know how. This is a life saver, thank you Leila!!!
  • @brianlawler4454
I learnt so much from this video, especially the content on custom instructions and requesting source URL's. One thing I've found though is that requesting URLs for Youtube doesn't seen to work, not quote worked that out yet.
  • @JonDaiello
This was super helpful! I didn't realize I could set up some basic preferences in the custom settings area. This also helped me know how to train it to sound more like me. Thanks!

Hi Leila - I've used Bing's version of ChatGPT but it wouldn't allow very much text in my query (Like critiquing a 20 page thesis for punctuation, for example). Are there different ChatGPT programs that you recommend? (I feel a bit behind the times as I am just now getting interested in using it).

Gr8 Inputs. Thx again and again. Also quite fun is to do searches and request the results in a table with many parameters. For instance ask about some chemical elements and their specific weight, symbol, number, boiling point, ... Of course, results always need to be doublechecked, but the speed of informationgathering is quite impressive. Also did chatGPt a gr8 job on sorting an awful word list with hundreds of adjectives. I just copied them and asked for a alphabetically ordered table.

It would be beneficial to have slider weighing UI for response as well, similar to DAWs MIDI & LFO etc (like as in Max for Live) - like to tweak ranges, probability, interpolation for responses. Something similar to personality radar graphs for certain weights that interact with one another based on ranges. Hope that makes sense in some way. I guess like sliders for responses according to your input, like when you build a player character in an RPG. Might be great for video game NPCs.
