This is Kayak Domain's 3rd test of their Squire Kayak Catamaran Sail version 3, from Moog Point, Laguindingan to Marvilla Beach, Opol, Misamis Oriental, Mindanao, Philippines on 15 Dec 2013.

The (aerial) distance to cover is about 16.8km and we were able to do it in about 3 hours. We were averaging speed of about 6 or 7 kph. The lowest we've notice is 5 kph and the maximum is 10.9 kph. The wind speed is strong but we don't have a wind gauge to measure it.

Overall, we loved the challenge and we have more plans in the future.

Our wish is to have an annual regatta/race of this kayak catamaran. The provincial government can organized the Laguindingan to Opol race because it's under their jurisdiction. While the CDO government can organized the Laguindingan to CDO river race because the finishing line would be at Puntod-Kauswagan Bridge. The entrance to the CDO river is a bit tricky though. I hope the city mayor and/or the provincial governor and their respective tourism team are listening and comprehend this huge opportunity.

Awesome set up, guys...!!!!  My cousin and I are planning to do just that.  Sailing... but with trimarans.  We have interest on a Paraw from Boracay or from anyone who can make them.  I heard that some good craftsman from the province of Siquijor are also making them.  You're the guys we need to meet and maybe sail together someday.  And its nice to know that you guys design sails because we need your expertise to design and make one for our future Kleeper Kayak or the Long Houl Mark II Commando kayak with outriggers.  Mo pa uli ko sa Dumaguete next year puhon.  Maayo unta to ug ma tawgan nay ta para mag istoria ta kabahin ug sailing adventure.  Na excited na ko da.  Ug naa kay cell na matawagan nako maayo unta to, pre.

My girl and I travelled 16km down the Assiniboine and 2x that distance down the Red River here in Winnipeg, Manitoba in a 9 foot dingy with no floor board or sail (yet, but working on that now) with no problems. without going past the 2 minute mark, I'm guessing you're gonna make it bruh. =D
