I think I hold 2001—2007 Conan in such high esteem, it's almost offensive. The stuff he did in these years often have me crying in laughter, especially his banter with Max after Max plays him to his desk. (Sadly, probably for licensing reasons, these bits are cut out of Conan25 but can be found on youtube elsewhere.) Conan is so bouncy and hyper, it reminds me of when I was in high school. Conan kind of matured in 2008/2009 and after taking the Tonight Show, and especially the debacle thereafter, he mellowed out into the Conan we know today. Thank you for sharing these wonderful years to your newer viewers and it's a riot to see them again (and with amazing clarity). Long live high-def 4:3 lol

I really wasn't a fan of Conan until I realised (thanks to Letterman) the intended necessary absurdity, and how important it is to comedic television. Sadly, no one else seems to understand this, and late night will be dead when Conan retires.
