I apologize for how long it’s been since my last upload. I haven’t found a lot of chances lately to work on videos, but I’m back now!

This came up on my recommended and this is a good mindset for ranked games in general. Thanks for the suggestion, you just earned yourself a subscriber

A caveat that Gem mentiioned: 1 win and 49 losses in competitive scrimmages looks better than 50 wins and 0 losses in a casual fanmade Splatoon 2 splatfest. It depends quite a lot on the skill level of the other players, too.

my personal main issue is that i havent really found my goto role and weapon yet. I dont really have the flick aim necessary to do well with most things, especially since ive never been particularly good at controller shooters, tho the motion control does make it a bit easier in turf i usually use support weapons to paint, since it always feles like my teammates just rush to fight rather than secure their spawn paintage, that lost me many casual games in anarchy, its really just pure skill issue on my part with pretty much anything. havent given brushes or rollers a try in multiplayer yet tho, though i dont particularly vibe with rollers just based on hero mode

This may just be my opinion but I think there is a lot more to playing well than just winning more than losing. It could be that someone is now fighting players at a higher skill level but not necessarily doing poorly in comparison to before. It could also be the case were someone at a higher skill level is in lower skill level lobbies, whether that be joining turf war or private battles. In my opinion, winning more than losing is not necessarily a good indicator whether you’re improving or not.

I lost 10 games in a row and vowed to never play ranked again
