The only PvP I see in a tower defense is Anomaly 2. In this mode, 2 players face each others, which one side is the attacker ( Using convoy unit to destroy the enemy base) and one side is defender. ( Using tower unit)

0:33 sounds like skill issues and why should there be "better" operator? The inability to make all operators equally good means thr game is trash.
