its telling how the king disregards all his new acolytes, even his own fortress… he was so obsessed with the superficial allure of greater power, he never appreciated the power he already had

It's so funny how the Double King insists on committing some violence when he takes a crown, even if it's completely unnecessary. Like smacking the beached fish-king with his scepter or punching the unmoving mountain-king with his fortress-mech.

Double king is so greedy that, quite literally, not even hell could take him.

I have to rewatch this every now and then just to make sure I did not imagine it.

A key part of the story that really sticks out to me: He murders a bug for it’s crown, fits it on his finger and later chopped his own finger off thinking it’s another creature with a crown. Blinded by greed, he killed himself because of it.

The way the king skeleton treats him like an irritating child and rest of the dead kings are just agreeing with him like his elder siblings
