Sergio Garcia has become one of the most popular faces at The Open Championship. Competing for the Claret Jug over 20 times since his debut in 1996.

The Spaniard has finished runner-up twice at The Open, in 2007 and 2014.

In 2014, Garcia was one of the front runners to win the Claret Jug, battling hard to remain within the top three throughout The 143rd Open from Royal Liverpool.

El Niño was playing at the very top of his game, sinking 18 birdies and two eagles, only dropping seven shots throughout the tournament. This consistency saw Garcia end in joint second place alongside Rickie Fowler, as Rory McIlroy earned the Claret Jug.

Sergio Garcia showed the quality that would eventually lead to him winning the 2017 Masters. We celebrate the best moments of his strong performance in 2014.
