Iโ€™ll be commuting from Georgetown to Killeen. How bad is the traffic? Also, Iโ€™m moving from Hawaiโ€™i, where traffic is horrendous.
  • There is a lot of traffic starting at 0530, I drive from Temple to RoundRock for work and itโ€™s Traffic on I-35, and it fast, and when I get off at 7pm, it is still traffic and itโ€™s fast. And I work the weekend shift, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is somewhat better but not much. Itโ€™s dangerous driving from Temple to Austin on I-35, and around Georgetown the traffic start choking up and get congested

Traffic gets backed up into Round Rock everyday at one spot, but is open through Georgetown on the I35 typically. The town of Georgetown does have traffic because its a small town with a lot of people.

Im curiousโ€ฆ area do you live in the Austin area? My husband and I are moving from Miami and would love to be around 20 mins outside of Austin. Thanks for your videos !
  • I live in Georgetown TX and none of the video clips in the first part of this video are anywhere near Austin or Georgetown !! One looked like Houston, another New York or north east โ€ฆ other comments about heat are ridiculous โ€˜hotter than Seattleโ€™ .. of course it is .. itโ€™s Texas !! take with a pinch of salt .. mostly mis leading .. but it is getting hotter and busier with traffic .. but not as depicted ..

A relative has lived in Georgetown for many years and it has turned into a nightmare to live in. They have already allowed too many people to move into the township area without first improving the infrastructure. They were experiencing Class III water restrictions last year which will now only get worse with all these new yards people are going to want to use the limited water resources for. The area roadways and highways are full of construction and rock hauling trucks with crap flying off of them and Sun City's deer population they maintain has turned the area into a driving hazard with all of the deer running across the roads. Sun City should be sued for all the damage and deer carcasses laying around. They have not planned well for this level of expansion and they do not have the infrastructure to support the people already living there. Also for whatever reason the area around 195 and 35 seems to be an oven for creating tornados that form in this area and move up 35 toward Jarrell. If you are in the area around 195 and 35 you better build a separate tornado shelter. (Just review the weather history of the Jarrell area) If you're smart you will not move to that poorly planned / developed town. You have provided a lot of good / fair advice about some of the problems already in the Georgetown area. I especially like the mention of the bugs you took the time for because if it has one thing it's a ALOT of scorpions, even with spraying they get into my relatives house. They walk around at night with a flashlight because of them still getting in. As someone who has to go there and visit relatives I would not recommend it as a place to move to.

To all my lovely people from the west coast, we are full in Texas. Maybe you should look at your state like a fixer-upper that you ruined but decided you were going to fix. It could be like a TLC show for liberals.
