After looking Through the video I realized that I completely forgot to throw in the footage for the RE6 cut content. There were a few terrifying scrapped enemies which you can find here - residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Resident_Evi…. There was also early concept art showing the merchant from re4 sitting on Leon's back, meaning capcom possibly had plans to add the merchant in re6. You can find the concept art for this here - www.deviantart.com/sparrow-leon/art/Leon-RE6-Extra….

Capcom be like "shits that's the perfect scary enemy, lets scrap it."

Oh man, I think the creepiest creature in the series by far would have been that child test subject intended for REmake 2. He's both tragic and terrifying to both look at, not to mention even think about.

I remember reading in a gaming magazine that RE5 was supposed to have a overheating mechanic and you couldn't stay out in the sun very long
  • I love the test subject idea. Imagine roaming racoon city and coming by a woman in a gown with an umbrella patch on it thinking shes a survivor but then she approaches you and doesn't say anything. she just moves towards you and instantly transforms infront of you and tries to kill you. Bat shit terrifying.

I really wish they’d do more with zombie animals. Outbreak was the only game that had some good ones. 5 being in Africa absolutely should have had them. Revelations did have a zombie Whale which was awesome, but I need more.

37:39 This is such a treat to know as a DMC fan. Some elements even stayed in DMC from Biohazard 4 like Dantes original name; "Tony Redgrave". Dante used that name as a disguise/nickname.
  • 57:57 The child is complete horror fuel. Imagine that thing stalking sherry throughout her whole segment. I couldn’t 🫣🫢

1:05:47 The concept actually is in the game. If you bothered to "kill/defeat" Nemesis on three specific and brief encounters he drops 3 suitcases that vary from ammo to weapon upgrades.

A lot of the scrapped enemies would've been better than what they used for the final product. The scrapped enemies were more geared towards the survival horror concept. They should make a game with these enemy concepts, most of them were pretty cool, IMO. They would've totally added some horror to the games. They should've also used one of the earlier ending concepts for defeating Wesker.
  • 1:11:45 kinda cool seeing Ada in a plague doctor outfit and it fits for the theme of the game but not really getting the feel as to why she would be in Village tho

The skinny child in Re2-2019 looks a lot more like the sleep experiment conspericy picture. These are fun to learn about, especially when you see the idea refined in something else where it fits better.
  • Jill’s apartment has its own set of concept art. I’m pretty sure the apartment shown with the blood writing on the wall is supposed to be one of the neighbouring apartments Jill cuts through while fleeing Nemesis. They probably scrapped some of it because, since players would only spend a couple of seconds there and focused on the Nemesis attack, it would have been a waste of time and resources to put that much effort into something players wouldn’t have time to notice.

The original concept for RE4 and black fog sound bloody amazing. I wish they'd go back an release that as it's own entry to the series, it really sounds cool.
  • @ChronicNOTAG
Aaaah, so THAT's where the name of Tony Redgrave came from. That's awesome, I always did wonder if Dante's old identity came from some obscure media I hadn't seen yet. Man, that's just nice.
  • TBH I’ve been busy so I couldn’t catch up with some of your vids, but this one popped right into my recommended section and I’m so happy it did! Now: time to learn things about my favorite franchise… again 🤣🥰

this makes me realize how much i like the sort of middle/transition stages of monsters or the very humanoid ones - like the licker zombie or the lab guy in the wheelchair and the child test subject for REmake 2. i guess it just feels more personal and therefore creepier because theyre still so human. its such a missed opprotunity not expanding on the lore with umbrella testing on the children and actually seeing it for yourself ESPECIALLY as sherry
  • @luisreyes1963
Those were some creepy secrets throughout the Resident Evil saga. Many thanks for the video from a long-time RE fan. 🧟‍♀️
  • my only gripe with this vid is it kinda jumps all over with the content, i feel it would be easier for me to listen to and keep track of the stuff if you had organized it into weapons, parts, puzzles, monster, etc. instead of quickly jumping from object to object with seemingly no order. At least its categorized by which game its from.
