  • I'm from Phoenix AZ. Last year I grew two different kinds of lettuce (Romaine and May Queen) in my raised bed and I let one plant of each kind go to seed. This winter I got lots of volunteers growing in my garden space and in my backyard. Plentiful lettuce with very little effort πŸ‘Œ

You missed a ginormous opportunity to call this video "lettuce grow some lettuce"

I don’t think anyone should be shamed for liking iceberg lettuce. I love all greens, but that girl has its time and place, even for folks who also like leaves with greenie flavor. Bland sweet crunch has its place! Cheers from a kale and arugula lover.

Yesterday I googled how to grow lettuce epic gardening and now it has come
  • I planted lettuce seeds last week because buying lettuce goes to waste when I’m the only one eating it. Now I can harvest as needed without wasting a whole head! (Coincidentally, of the five types I planted, you listed three! I also love red leaf for color)

Thank you Kevin for making informative videos delivered in a simple way. Im from Britain and my children wanted to know how things grow. So for 2 years ive watched your videos and then I teach them. You have inspired a whole generation of my family to get growing for which I am eternally grateful. My kids now spend their summer growing produce rather than playing video games. You will never know my kids, or their friends who see their enthusiasm for growing and then start asking their parents if they can grow food too, but please be humbled knowing the difference you are making to people's lives and the snowball effect it has. Be proud of what you have accomplished my friend, not only in business success but also bringing good to the world.

Make sure the leaves are dry in the fridge so it stores longer! He did brief on this. Wet lettuce will wilt and go slimy very fast if it’s not dry!

I wanted to come back to this because of your storage tip of the paper towel. I want to say THANK YOU! πŸ™ My lettuce lasts 3 or 4 times longer, and I always think of this video when putting lettuce in my fridge. πŸ˜‚

I’ve had excellent success with Paris Island Romaine. It grows well in the heat and I’ve had no disease issues. It also has a high germination rate.
  • We started lettuce ONE TIME and now we have re-seeding year after year here in my container gardening totes and buckets, what fun and so easy to grow.
  • A wealth of knowledge packed into an entertaining video. Love it!
  • @mailars9249
Perfect timing! I want to try gardening for the first time this year and definitely want to have some lettuce. You’re channel has been a huge help.
  • I got a bunch of little baby lettuces popping up. I'm so excited. I love a good fresh fresh salad from the yard I got Perris Romaine, Red Sail , Black Seeded, Red Butterhead and arugula to add that nice spice flavor
  • What a coincidence, I was starting to feel worried about my lettuce seeds not germinating and just yesterday one out of the 15 i sowed germinated, hopefully more will...
  • @lilawiese2460
This is the best video I could have found on growing lettuce and it appeared at the perfect time for me. Having never grown lettuce before, it gave me confidence that I'll be ok. πŸ˜…
  • Butterhead Lettuce Is my favorite. If the seed is harvested from the lettuce. It grows amazing in that same location. It's very hardy if you sow the seed that's been harvest in that same location.
  • I do alot of "cut and come again" in a successive row/section and just scatter seeds. Successive about a week apart for 4 sections and harvest one section each week, by the time I cut the last section the first has grown back. Perfect rotation
