Going to school hasn't been more epic

"If all of the kings had their Queens on the thrones We'd pop champagne and raise a toast." I hum to myself, my head tilted back as my eyes stuck to the dark ceiling. The inability to move my wrists and left leg proved I was cuffed to the chair itself. I chuckle a little. A tear escaped my eye and rolled down the corner and got absorbed into the hair. Of course, this is the best they could do. "To all of the Queens who are fighting alone-" I start humming again when the door bursts open interrupting me. I lift my head, now looking straight at the figure that walked in. Oh, those green eyes. I could recognize them anywhere. Brimming with rage, his jaw always tended to clench, his fists by his side closed as his eyes dart through mine. "What the fuck did you do?" His voice was shaky. "Reading the expression on your face, I'd say you already know. So I'm gonna save my energy-" "Why did you kill them?" He interrupts. "Because they were trying to kill me first." I answer, calm. "And why was that again?" He charges, taking a step forward. "Because I was escaping." I shrug. "Exactly. So who was at fault here?" Turning the whole concept around, he forces me to the center of the topic. "C'mon." I laugh. "You don't expect me to not and escape now, do you? I thought you were better than that." He swallows, his eyes burning with rage. "Those were our people!" He speaks, his voice getting louder with each word. "Correction, your people." I rectify. "You're in too deep, you will regret what you did. You don't wanna mess with me." He warns. "Don't I? Then how come we're not having a face-to-face conversation? Why am I tied up?" I pout. "You wanna have a face-to-face conversation? I'll give you that." He mutters under his breath and starts stepping towards me. I watch him with a smirk plastered on my face. The moment he's a foot away, I hoist my right leg, the satin gliding to my upper thighs as I do so. Placing my heel right onto his chest over his black shirt, I look him dead in the eye. He looks quite surprised, I must admit. "What do you think you're doing?" I could feel his fury through my bones as he grabs my ankle to shove it aside when I press the heel harder, not budging. "I can't kill you, but I can very much make you wish you were dead." He mutters starting to step closer. My leg started to bend in as he kept walking, his eyes locked with me. "I can make your life a living hell." He gritted. "Haven't you taken enough from me?" I ask, the feeling of betrayal coming back to hurt just as much as a fresh unstitched wound. "You'd be surprised." The distance closes between us as he leans forward, gripping the armrests of the chair along with my hands that were cuffed to it. "Your dad would never behave this way, you know?" He takes a few strands and swirls them in his fingers. "That's what you're forgetting," I smile. "I am not my father." "Yes, you're much worse." He nods. "You're damn right I am. Should've thought of that before you decide to destroy my life, don't you think?" I ask. "You know," He leans into my ears as I feather shut my eyes. "If you want me so bad to be the bad guy, then go ahead, paint me as a villain in your story." His hot breath crashes against my skin as he speaks, his lips softly meet the sweet spot under my jaw. Getting up, his eyes meet mine. "Because I'll gladly be the one to end you." I laugh, provoking him further. POV: Maleficent threw a sharp-fanged grin at a soldier guarding Aurora's castle. "Surely you must know who I am. Hasn't your queen told you about me?" "I'm afraid she hasn't-" The soldier cleared his throat as Maleficent's eyes flashed green. He could act as strong as he wanted but Maleficent could see right through him. Everyone feared her deep inside. Before she could say something that'll scare the soldier any further, Diaval interrupted her. "We are the queen's godparents." He calmly explained while bringing an arm around Maleficent's waist, a silent reminder for her to keep her cool. "Ah right. My apologies..." The soldier swiftly moved aside and signaled for the gates to open. After they walked a bit away from him, Maleficent quietly exclaimed, "Ridiculous! At this point, we should have bypassed these gatekeepers and flown to Aurora." "Perhaps he's new to the kingdom, love," Diaval suggested. "Word about us travels ACROSS kingdoms, Diaval," Maleficent emphasized. "It's strange how he hadn't the slightest clue on who we were." "We'll tell Aurora and Phillip after the christening. Just try not to think about it too much right now." Maleficent sighed and straightened her wings. Diaval was right. They'll inform Aurora right after. But she couldn't help but cast a glance behind them one last time. ~~~~~ "That was a close call, Raj." The soldier immediately straightened his posture when he saw a woman emerge from the side of the castle's gates. "I'm sorry, Daeva. I wasn't told your daughter is a dark fey-" "It's 'my queen' to you!" The woman quietly hissed as her eyes flashed red. "And I lost my daughter the day the Dark Feys cast me out." "Of course, my queen..." Raj bowed his head. They both heard a fanfare of trumpets from the distance, signaling the beginning of the christening for Aurora's and Phillip's child. Daeva's eyes returned back to their regular gray hue. "Let's go meet the grandchild."
