House: *misses one note on piano and pops a pill* Me, a fellow pianist: Same
  • When house said “what about this?! Is this in my head?!” You could hear his pain and it’s just sad 😔
  • @shapen360
This is the thing about House. He always claims to be rational but is arguably the most emotional character on the show. He acted out when Stacy left, had psychosomatic pain when he was sad, refused to admit he had a drug problem.

Wilson was always right with his hunches. Cuddy was clever for having House take a placebo to put him in his right mind for once.

That person deserves an award who is keeping this channel alive.

"I gave you placebo" * Looks at the camera *

2:29 You can hear in his voice he's nearly crying from the pain. Excellent acting.

Chase throws out a perfectly logical assumption in Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and they ignore him.

That single break in his voice is absolutely heart-shattering. Stellar acting.

2:48-2:57 you can hear House being on the verge of tears. His life has been so miserable...

One of the few times where House was in so much actual pain that you could see it on his face. He was about to cry in that moment.

I too numb the psychological pain of waiting for more House clips.

House needs a hug, good pain meds, and some sleep
  • It's actually scientifically correct. Brain scans have consistently shown that pain is pain to the brain. It's unable to differentiate between physical pain and emotional pain: the exact same parts of the brain light up. I don't think it's a coincidence that whomever runs this channel put up a clip at Christmas about how emotional pain hurts exactly the same way physical pain does.

When I was a kid in middle school, I wrote to a friend that I had emotions so big that it made my chest hurt. It was deep pain right behind the middle bone of your ribs. It felt like someone was punching me in the heart. Nowadays I don't feel that intense of emotion and I don't feel that anymore. But stress makes my body hurt, like a toothache getting worse because my family is fighting. I can't imagine having a physical source that's regularly that painful that could get worse psychologically.

I understand house when it comes to his annoyance to people not believing he’s in pain. I suffer from lupus and severe disk degeneration in my spine. Because I’m under 30 so many doctors just expected I was drug seeking and until I was 22 and finally presented with a butterfly rash they didn’t look into my severe pain. I was into a year of buying pills off the street before a doctor found the damage and gave me corrective back surgery. Took me 3 years to finally get out of the physical addiction and learn to live with the pain I have now. It’s so much easier to take a pill when it hurts but after a while one doesn’t do it anymore. Soon you’re eating 3 at a time until someone tells you to try snorting one. Pain is terrible, addiction is worse, both together is hell.
