Do you loosen the chest strap after opening the parachute or you mean from before jumping?

Is this applicable irregardless of canopy size? i.e.- 190 Spectre 1.15 wingloading.

would you recommend this for students? i got taught to put my hands at the front when i flare, to get ready for a plf. just in case. sooooo confused right now.
