The real reason why this merger is happening is that PIF and PGA did not want to display some creative accounting that is happening, especially since PGA is non profit... That's my opinion.

Never thought I'd see Rory as water-boy for this BS. Does he really think Jay or the PGA has control of anything? The rules are written by the people who write the checks. I agree that we need to focus on the PIF but make no mistake, the Saudi government and Royal Family now own golf... worldwide. LIV was a tool to create the leverage they needed to pull this off. Rory is so naive. This will change the game.

PIF will ultimately call the shots. Jay may still be overseeing the PGA Tour. However, PIF isn’t just going to be silent after injecting a massive amount of cash.

I can feel how much Rory must HATE these press conferences... He handles it all very well, but you can tell that he wants nothing more than to just get the hell out of there and who can blame him.

If you question Saudi money because of their reputation in the past how can you possibly not question American money? As to the players money has the colour green.

He’s a fool if he thinks the Tour will control how the money is spent. The source of the money always has the last say where and how their money is spent. If they don’t like how it’s being spent they don’t contribute. It’s real simple.

Rory’s anger is misplaced. He should have more anger at Jay and the PGA Tour board more than LIV, Greg Norman and the LIV players. PGA Tour said that the only problem was the source of funds not the competition, the power structure or the format. Wake up Rory.
