$60M?! That’s like 2 minutes of revenue. Next time charge them $6B. Google needs to be taken down, and we in the USA are too spineless to do it, so maybe our friends down under can do the dirty work
-
Not a fine. A purchase agreement. They didn't have to delete it, or anything they did with it. A pretty sweet deal.
-
Tip of the iceberg.

Google gets fined $60 million, after making $500 million.
Sounds like damn good trade with the government to me.
I would take the same deal all day long. -
I would say that the drop in the bucket but it's not even that much to them 🤷
-
Gee, who’d thunk a massive multinational was behaving dishonestly and treating our privacy with utter contempt?
-
There should be an extra 0 in that fine....
-
...And how much of that are WE, the Australians who use Google, gonna see of that money???
-
Just where will be the go and when will they cough up
-
What's my share of this 60 million?
-
Yeah I ended up driving my car to Magnetic Island Underwater Google said it was the shortest route and would take 10 minutes off the journey, but you got to buy a new car
-
And who gets this money
-
Lol my location icon just came on when I watched this video

A good start. Treat your customers with respect and leave them with privacy. Letting greed or corruption jeopardize the customers security is a serious offense.
-
60m? It’s like a buck
-
Who gets to keep the cash? Will it be distributed amongst those affected?
-
Please keep in mind that less efficient advertising does equal higher prices of goods and services (and vice versa)
-
How much do I receive?
-
So the affected users will have this fine distributed amongst them right? Right?
-
ya just have to enjoy the fact the governments fine a company for harming the consumers yet the government collects & keeps all the cash & the company remains the same - just who do we send the letters of thanks to?
