  • The reason I love this show, is because when Karasuno wins you are so happy, but when you see the other team's reaction it kind of makes you feel sad. The greatness of this show is that your rooting for Karasuno but it can still make you feel empathy for the other team, you're glad Karasuno won but still feel that sadness with the other team.

Haikyuu!! Is just one giant nostalgia ride for me. I used to do competitive volleyball and like Hinata/Nishanoya I was the smallest one on the team but without the crazy athletic ability. Instead of pushing myself to jump higher than humanly possible or do overhand serves (no matter what I did, it always went short. I even hit the back of a teammates head who I wasn’t in great terms with) So I had to reinvent other ways to get the job done. Ex. ducking behind the blockers whenever a spike was made incase it went through, bumping the ball over the net with one hand to drop it in front of the blockers, being the one to pass the ball over to the setter, even making it my job to get the ball back in the court whenever it strayed. I only did competitive for one season because I still felt like I couldn’t match up to the rest of the team, some of my teammates were toxic, and it felt as if my coach hated me. (He refused to work with me and dumped me with the assistant coach who helped me figure out to use my small height to an advantage instead of an obstacle.) but I still hit the ball around. If the circumstances were better and the environment was supportive like karasuno’s then I would have stayed. I still reminisce about all the cool plays I made (even though those were the only times my competitive team ever seemed to care) I still have a love for the sport and Haikyuu helps me remember that from time to time!!
  • I think one of the reasons why I love the show so much is because nobody's perfect at what they do and they don't get good overnight. You get to see the struggles and losses as well as the victories. Super awesome anime.

when you realize the haikyuu characters aren’t real - 😭

The funny thing is, is that they make vollyball look so fun and easy but then reality hit me when I got on the court NEVER AGAIN 😭
  • Probably one of the best scenes in the show was when Tsuki, for the first time, went out of his way and formed a fist to celebrate the moment he knew volleyball is no longer just a game for him. It taught me a lot of things. Sometimes in life, we would rather play it safe than look uncool or stupid but when we start to nurture the passion for what we do, we go out of our way not only to win but to learn and have lots of fun as well.

sometimes I get worried about how they can bend their body parts without breaking their bones... damn Deku must be jealust
  • @gavinloder1
I love this fandom so much when they cry you cry and feel sad, when they are happy you are happy. This anime and fandom is so special and I can't wait for the upcoming seasons and other things surrounding haikyuu!!
