Knock at the Cabin - Movie Review

More dramatic roles should be given to Dave Bautista. He’s now been in a lot of genres, and adding dramatic roles can flex his acting range!

I love Cena and The Rock but Batista is doing it different. Gotta respect it.

Every performance in this film was spot on, but Dave Bautista truly carried this film. His performance was nuanced, his character was humane, intimidating with a gentle sadness. There were moments where I cried for everyone in their situations.

I feel that not enough people are talking about Rupert Grint. I get that he doesn’t play as big a role as Dave Bautista, but he hasn’t been in very many movies since Harry Potter and his performance in this film was incredible and I just feel not many people are talking about it.

Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, James McCavoy, Haley Joel Osment, Mel Gibson, and now Dave Bautista...all actors who Shyamalan brought out some of the best performances of their careers.

Ah I loved the scene between Wen and Leonard's first meeting. It was like a dream sequence, Leonard is warm, but you immediately sensed he was there for business. It's like death or adulthood coming to tell a child the worst news.

I really enjoyed this movie. Dave Bautista is so much more than the character of Drax. I really hope he has more of a role in the next Dune sequel.

They say that when a Shyamalan film is released, the gods flip a coin, and the realm holds its breath.

I’m always worried when a movie comes from Night Shyamalan! Never know if it's a hit or missed. But now, I want to see this! Especially after this review!

Dave Bautista is PHENOMENAL in this movie!!

Dave Bautista is absolutely amazing. He embraces the character so good and convincingly.

I have so much love and support for what Batista is doing as a more dramatic actor with his size and appearance. Dude was built as an action star but chose to be different. Major frickking props! Excited to see more of this guy in more projects that will choose him for his dramatic talent and capacity.

We just saw it... WOW! Everyone brought their A game to this one. Dave Bautista is so amazing. That man is an ACTOR.

Ben Aldridge played a small part in Fleabag, which was an absolutely incredible show. I can't overstate how fantastic it is, go and watch it right now, like seriously!

I really like how his reviews are changing from a spectator to a film maker. He is never going to be as critical but his new insight is very interesting.

You know what Chris ? I'm so glad for you. Sincerely. I started following you something like ten years ago (I really can't remember when exactly) and... well. Your love for Shyamalan's work was a real big deal. And later on, when you decided to talk about your childhood and how difficult the choice of leaving behind the whole Jehova's witnesses thing was, it kinda moved me. That's why I think YOU DESERVE IT. So thank you so much for all these years of discoveries and huge roars of laughter (sorry for my schoolish english, you know... I'm french). Dave was fantastic in Blade Runner 2049. Saw right then what a depth of talent he had for acting.

Thank you for being honest and kind to this director. Other people seems to be so hard on him and his work even though he is an excellent director.. He is very creative and tells you different stories every time. His work is original even if adopting a book, he puts his unique touch to it. And even though most people won't admit it, every time his new movie is about to be released, Mr. Shyamalan's work evokes anticipation and excited as to what kind of story he will be telling this time. He is the best.

Glad he enjoyed this one. I haven't seen it yet, but I always enjoy Chris talking about M. night and the influence that Night had on Chris. I wish he had reviewed Old just so I could hear his thoughts, even if he didn't like it. It's that passion that just comes through. Glad people seem to like this. M. Night has been through a lot, and seems to be back on track.
