Women empowerment was basically the goal of the movie director Patty Jenkins- to portray a female role model. Of course she's strong, wise and doesn't need a man to save her etc... But there are moments in the movie, like when Steve's (aka sexy pilot) secretery explains to Wonder Woman what she does- 'I go where he tells me to go and I do what he tells me to do, all sorts of things really' Wonder Woman tells her in a horrified tone 'Where I come from that's called slavery'. She has a lot of comments about the clothes women wore back then, she looks at a corset and asks if this is what women there wear to battle. Steve tries to disguise her beauty so he gives her glasses and his secretery says 'Oh so now all of a sudden she's not the most beautiful woman you've ever seen'. So you can watch the movie and find different moments like that where they tried to insert women empowering messages (successfully or not)...

I would love to see a podcast where you guys talk about movies and tv shows. Maybe focus on one show or two per podcast. Like I would love to see what you guys have to say about my favourite show Lost. I've seen it a thousand times already.

There's been older Wonder Woman movies. It's just now she's part of the DC justice league in the newer movies. Basically DC's response to Marvel's multiverse.
