Our western media really did a great job to make China like a uninnovative boring scary parallel world, especially the shock after visiting there by ourselves is quite amusing for everyone. Nice video, bro.

I’m a 72-year old grandma and have absolutely no interest in e-bikes. However, I was curious about your visit to China and your overall experience while you were there. Western media has fed us so many negative aspects of China and from what I saw in this video, nothing could be further from the truth. China is a very modern and innovative country. It is way ahead with the use of its high speed trains or bullet trains, the factories, the treatment of its employees, the cleanliness, etc. . . Those factories sure did not look like sweat-shops to me. In any event, I was very impressed with the content of this video and your overall experience in China.

I am a retiree in Hong Kong and travel to Mainland almost every month. Every time I return to Hong Kong, the first annoying feeling is the air pollution in the streets of Hong Kong, especially when buses passing by. All buses in Mainland are EV.
  • The anti-China bots were the first to comment. It's hilarious. I'm an expat been living in Shanghai since 2013, so I've seen China change so much in my time here and it is an amazing country with amazing people. Haters will hate, but it won't change a thing. Doing business with China is the smartest thing one can do! Great video and good luck!

China has beautiful people and i love the electric cities ,trains and packed lunches ,no stealing ,clean air ,quiet cities because of electric vehicles ,,everything is amazing ,makes me want to visit China and wish we had all those things .

I’ve own and drive European & American cars all my life until yesterday I was driven in a Chinese made EV. I immediately fell in love with it. The design is so futuristic. The interior is so perfect and spacious. The engine so quiet. The price so reasonable. My next car it going to be a Chinese EV
  • Why the West so hate China with its modern and high technology improvements in many aspects? Why there was no issue of "overcapacity" with products of a country (no mention of that country's name) fill in all over the world before and until now? To all politicians, please negotiate the differences and make peace not war❤

Great video and content. As an American I enjoy learning about different cultures and in particular Chinese culture. The American mainstream political media system would have us believe everything China is cheaply made by children in sweat shops. If I had the means to travel the world, China would definitely be high on my destination list. We in America could learn a lot from different cultures and economies. Stop going to war with countries whom you deem a threat and grow up America. Bullies always lose in the end. Peace ✌️

10 years ago, I was invited for a month in China, living with a family. I stayed in tiny cities, Taiyuan and Linfen (respectively, only ≈5 million people and ≈3 million people — that's why you never heard of them). It was obvious that I was the only white guy there by the reactions of some people. For example, we decided to go to a nephew’s kung-fu competition. As soon as I entered in the venue, nobody cared about the kung-fu anymore, they were interested by me, so we wisely decided that perhaps it wasn’t the best idea… I was impressed that at least 90% of vehicles even back then were electric. 10 years prior, Linfen was one of the 10 most polluted city on Earth, and I was impressed at the air quality after years of work (they closed 50,000 – yes thousands — of clandestine coal mines) to the point I would actually live there. It was a trip full of beauty and strange things, and what I liked the most were the Chinese themselves. They are a fun-loving people who love a good life and good food. You go out at night and the streets are full of people enjoying life. Watching this film made me miss China a lot… Thanks!

Most business are discussed during meals, that's the Chinese culture.
  • @yojimbo3681
The E-scooters are a sharp contrast to Taipei, where everyone is still riding on combustion bikes, loud as hell.
  • @jaliranchr
Really enjoyed this trip with you, Micah. Remembering the images from China in the 70s and 80s (yes, I'm old) with all the Chinese bike traffic jams, I find it fascinating that now they are producing the very bikes we are riding now with the coolest technology.

    我是台灣人更是一個驕傲的中國人,我為我的祖國中國感到無比的光榮與驕傲。
  • @BillyNoMate
Wow! if sweat shops look like this then I must be working in a prison.

We just came back on a trip to China with our kids. It is definitely much easier to travel now by ourselves than 16 years ago. Booked all the hotels and HSR trips myself and paid everything using Alipay or WeChat and sometimes cash. They embrace electrification in all their vehicles. It really does make the cities like Beijing and Shanghai have better, cleaner air and alot more quiet! The subway trains are also very clean, well connected and cheap!
  • Those who keep saying China’s high speed train system is a white elephant project because of profitability should learn what it means to the economy as a whole by watching your frequent and highly productive trips.
  • @garybaris139
Chinese manufacturing has really stepped up over the last few decades. The familiar term "Chinese Junk" is no longer true in every industry and their technology and innovation is top in the world. Thanks for sharing this video, I've always wanted to go to China and visit some of their factories.
  • @houwenchau997
It's great to see China producing high-quality, affordable products for the whole world to enjoy!
  • @danbiddle138
This was such a wonderful video! I watched all the tours on the other channel and this one. It’s amazing how those workers are treated. We need to learn a lot from these people and their appreciation for their employees. The US needs to do better in that field. And I can’t wait for the US to be like them when it comes to different forms of electric transportation. Thank you for taking us along with you on this epic tour.

I travelled to China and especially Shanghai in the mid 1980s. The air was from ICE vehicles, industrial factories and coal patties for cooking. Not too good for a person with asthma or COPD. These ebikes and vehicles all look amazing. Can't wait to visit again. Cheers.
