My daughter is already an armed teacher here in Arkansas. She was trained and they gave her $1000 to purchase a pistol and she borrowed 1000 rounds from me to qualify. It is nothing new in Arkansas.

A question: Who will be legally, criminally and financially responsible for the increased liability when a teacher’s firearm is inevitably used in a shooting incident, regardless of whether it is an accident or deliberate one?
  • I wonder what the liability insurance for the schools is gonna cost?

TN ranks 48th in the country for school funding, but yeah, putting guns in the classroom is the priority.

Banning books is a priority but not semi automatics and any other guns. Only in America 🇺🇲
  • I believe firearms training should be an option in every school nationwide for students over 16

Key word, ALLOWING! not forcing. If the teacher is a gun guy they'll take it. Although i personally feel teachers shouldn't be carrying (campus security should be) it's not that big of a deal.

I support Tennessee for what is right

I hope they will arrest teachers that leave their weapons unattended. If you’ve ever worked with children, this will easily backfire (such as a firearm). When would the first lawsuit and death occur? Think of the substitute teachers! Lol Students have a tendency to walk all over them and would you, 1. not only trust them to not have a trigger finger, but 2. Not be informed if a substitute or salaried teacher had a firearm? Let’s just see how this plays out. 🤦🏼‍♀️ If you have children in school, I can only offer my thoughts and prayers.
