JOEL, 24 and Mickey, 22, met as teenagers in 2015. They fell in love and went from high school sweethearts to life partners. Mickey always knew she was bisexual and was open with Joel about this throughout their relationship. In September 2020, Joel met Jaida, 22 on an app. The group began their interactions platonically, but then their relationship grew to a romantic place. Jaida had never seriously considered being in a polyamorous relationship before, she told Truly: “I was like how do they do that like, I can't even handle one person like, imagine two.” The group has faced criticism for their lifestyle. Jaida’s family has found the relationship hard to accept due to their religious beliefs. The throuple has had people telling them that they’re ‘going to hell’ or that they’re ‘ungodly’.

This is how Poly is supposed to look. Even though there's different dynamics out there, everyone has to be on the same page.... And it shouldn't be like... Used as an alternative to cheating. I love seeing the positive side of Poly.

I'll be honest. These guys' relationship seem like the first one that are completely healthy from this channel. Normaly, it would be a situation where the guy bring another girl into the relationship and the first girl is secretly jealous but still doesn't break up with the guy 'cause she has no self esteem. These guys are different and i hope they're live very happily ❤

I’ve never met a poly couple in real life, but I do think in some verryyyy special circumstances it could work if all involved are emotionally matured and doesn’t have insecurities which to be honest is pretty rare - I’m interested to know the average lifespan on a poly relationship 🤔

Islamic POLYGYNY is nothing like this. Instead, the husband has a totally separate relationship with each of his wives, but the wives are not in any relationship with their co-wives. The husband has to share time and resources equally with each wife.

I don’t think there’s anyone who 10000% feels comfortable sharing their loved one with someone else and if they do I don’t think they know true love 😳 but I’m never going to judge anyone if they’re happy and not hurting anyone else
