We have been traveling as a family in our RV with our 9 kids for a year and it has been EPIC! We made a huge circle around the country and finally got back to where we started a year ago. We had all sorts of emotions about it and had a great first day back home.

We LOVE our hometown and especially the South Main Sweet Shop! Check them out at: southmainsweetshop.com/

As someone that's travlled & lived in three different countries, I understand your feeling cranky when you go back "home". It's like you've been on this adventure and you've changed so much and how you see things has changed so much that when you go back home & see how little it's changed you feel ripped off. The lack of change there feels like it invalidates all the growth you've gone through.

You're kids will grow up just like you mom and dad! Not only you save lives, you gave them joy!

can we talk about how the music in these past videos (including this one) have been phenomenal?!?!

OMG! One time my friend came over and she showed me your channel, ever since I've been watching. I had no idea you lived in Davidson North Carolina. I do too! It's crazy what a small world it is. I pass by your old neighborhood everyday.

I stumbled upon your channel a few nights ago and have been binge watching ever since. I'm only 19 but you guys have inspired me so much and made my time at university less stressful. You deserve so many more subs!! Xoxoxo

I've been 30 for 15 years now my firstborn turned 28 y/o today! Crazy!
  • Coming home has strange emotions. I spent one year cycling around the UK and when i got home it felt as if all the memories of the trip had faded almost at once which was hard to work out as that year was the happiest ever just being free everyday to explore and visit all the places i wanted to see. The wanderlust is returning and i can see myself loading up the bike again in the not to distant future. This time though i can see it being a life long trip just going where the heart takes me :-)
  • So much fun to see you enjoy some sights and places of home. I love the house you used to have! Your kids are so well behaved! You're doing a great job with them!!
  • I get emotional with every video. I almost burst with this one. Going home is such a challenging experience. you're going back to what you left behind and you left because you didn't want to be there any longer. We love you guys. Thank you for providing hours of joyful watching.

The cranky feeling, I know what you're talking about. Whenever we travel, the moment we return back home I get that feeling. It's just that we want to go back home and we miss it but the trip seemed to be too short and we don't want it to end. Then you feel bad that you're not feeling the certain way you're supposed to be feeling. You get me? :)
  • It almost feels nostalgic as a viewer to see you guys as a family visiting your hometown. It's amazing to see the growth that everyone has had and how it feels as if, we as viewers have traveled with you. Much love! -Milan

"How do I know you're not a terrorist?"?!?!?! Yeah, that would have rubbed me the wrong way. Your son Andrew reminds me so much of my son, Ezra. He's almost 9 and seems to have boundless energy! ha! Those chocolates and pizza looked so good!

Stubbled across this channel and i've officially binged watched every video! So full of love and life, darling Esther is just a sweetheart. All round good people. Wishing you the best.
  • In the scheme of things, a year is such a short period of time as adults but for children and year is forever 😊😊😊😊😊

That grumpy feeling is what I call coming down the hill syndrome. It's that feeling when you have had the experience of a lifetime and have to go back to the real world! The worst feeling!

I truly need to stop watching these prior to bed. We have been getting our 5th wheel ready to head to Tennessee. So the other night I dreamed I was at their campground and it felt like we had been following them from campground to campground. We were confronted by the family if we were stalking. Megan was not aggressive, but laughing. It was a nice funny dream.
