  • Anyone else missing the 90s and their grandparents while watching this? 😢😢
  • @Meg-A-Saurus
Okay, the grandma's purchasing the butter cookies is melting my heart and bringing back SO much nostalgia! My biggest takeaways from this video, is that people are more civilized than we are in modern times. Everyone looks more put together, healthier, happier, nicer, etc. The store looks like the employees take pride in it and their appearance. I miss these days! We really didn't know how good we had it!

Look how respectfully and peacefully they walk in. Times have changed.
  • Things were so much more simpler in the 90s. I know every decade has its issues. But I truly miss the 80s and the 90s. Especially during the holidays. It felt magical. I can’t explain it. I’m sure everyone in their late 30s-40s knows what I’m talking about. Technology also really ruined our human to human skills. Not one person distracted from a cellphone or iPad. Bring me back 😭 and my grandparents and older relatives that have passed.

Wow no fighting or stampedes, no smart phones, nicer people, built in food counters, better quality Christmas items and a great shopping experience without loads of digital distractions and problems. Really miss these types of stores and wish we could have places like this back again.

I love how everyone is neatly dressed, hair is done and makeup on women is not exaggerated. Shoppers acting like real humans!

These videos are comforting, and remind me of when the world made sense. I'd live in some of these videos, if I could, but we'll sadly never see times like this again.
  • What I love is they weren't crazy. They weren't storming in pushing and shoving and hurting others. Gone are the days of respecting each other.

I'm 43 now. This how I remember the old people when I was a kid.

Jesus, I'm here tearing up at a video of folks shopping at Woolworth's. I was only 8 years old at the time. Makes you realize just how precious and short our journey on this big blue ball is.

It's such a blessing to be able to say you lived in this world. Doesn't matter if you were an infant or 50 years old at the time 💖.
  • Wish I could go back to those days when our mom would take us to Woolworth as kids and buy us lunch at their Cafe. RIP Mom and Woolworth.
  • Woolworth's reminds me of my Grandmother. She would shop, then I would get a treat from their penny candy aisle, a coloring book from their dollar bin and then a snack from their cafe. It makes me teary, thinking about it.

I see grandmas' buying those butter cookies. My grandma always had those cookies around too. ❤

Just for one day I wish I could time travel back and go to these stores.
  • @freelancelady
I was 26 years old back then. I still have a Thanksgiving platter that looks so nice on the table from back then… You could find anything in Woolworth, food, clothing, housewares, decorations and sewing supplies. They had items of good quality…😊😊😊

I’m so glad I lived in these wonderful days ❤

I was born in 1959. When I was a kid I liked going to Woolworth's to eat lunch where my grandmother worked. I ' m retired . The 60's, 70's, and 80's glad I survived all those years. ! If there's a time machine I'd go back.
